Crowds are about average for a Sunday now. I wasn’t able to be first on PP this morning. When we got to FL, it wasn’t yet open. It finally started operations at about 8:20. By then, we we’re 50th in line.

Buzz scoring seems to be fixed now. There’s been a problem with scores not flowing through with pics. Hasn’t been an issue at all today after about ten rides . I managed to rack up 2,071,900 points, which only earned me second place. Still...


Overall, today is a pretty good day. One odd thing. About an hour ago I saw two women looking at a park map near the hub. I’ll often approach such people and ask if they need help. Usually they’re appreciative. These two were anything but. When I asked if they needed help, the one woman didn’t even look at me and simply replied “Nope.” That struck me as rather rude. But oh well. I can only control my own behavior. But it always leaves a bad taste in my mouth when people are nasty, especially at DL. This is the third day in a row that someone’s been blatantly rude to me. I try to not let it effect me, though. It’s not always easy.

Wasn’t in a pic-taking mood today so I’ve only got the one photo. Sorry if anyone’s disappointed .

I head home to Chicago for a few weeks on Wednesday so no park posts from me for awhile. Talk amongst yourselves in my absence ;-).

Most people at Disneyland seem to be so friendly, that when someone is rude, it's rather shocking. Sorry that happened to you!

Fortunately, I offered to help a nice couple from India later in the day and they were very appreciative. I explained about single rider, FPs, etc. They were trying to find POTC (they were in FL). Since I was headed that direction anyway, I walked them over. That helped to dispel much if not all of the bad feeling from earlier .

I'd rather not go into it. Just people being mean and stupid. Again, all I can control is my own behavior. How people choose to behave is on them .

Thanks! In Chicago, I live close to where Walt Disney was born -- say about two miles or so. It's definitely walkable.

I am also originally from the Chicagoland area. Northern suburbs. I miss it some days, but I have always wanted to live in CA (since I was a little girl) and am lucky all my family is here now, so really no reasons to visit my old home too much. I do miss getting to easily see all of the Cubs games.

I go back at least twice a year; sometimes four. The weather can be a challenge but I love Chicago and NYC. While there are parts of LA that I love dearly (Disneyland, for example), overall I don't love this city -- although I do really like it. I always make the joke comparison that if you're dating someone and not in love with them in five years (which is how long I've been here), you're unlikely to be in six ;-).
