It's only 9:15 but its already hot and crowded. There is a huge crowd waiting to get into Disneyland and DCA looks even worse. I hope the crowd dissipates because hot and crowded is no fun!!

Head for SPLASH MOUNTAIN!!

Welcome to Disneyland during the Santa Ana Winds. :sunny:

This is the first year in awhile that I haven't had to turn on the heater yet. I usually have it on by the end of October.

We are arriving on Thursday this week and I have been keeping an eye on the forecast. I was looking forward to some heat after weeks of rain in Vancouver and even fantasized about laying by the pool at DLH but as usual, it is cooling off to the high teens by the time we get there!! At least it is supposed to be sunny but I can't believe it is going to go from 30's(Celsius, 90's Fahrenheit) today to 16C(63 F) on saturday:sad2: I know it is better to be cool than super hot but I would like a happy medium!!

You freaked me out for a second until I realized you were talking about Celsius! I was like how the heck could it be 16 F in Anaheim this weekend! But I realized you meant Celsius and then it all made sense. :rotfl:

I hope you have a fun trip even if it will be cold. DH and I are doing a quick trip this weekend. We will be the crazy Californians bundled up like it is the Arctic. :)

Thanks ArchOwl. I was totally confused, too. I figured she was looking at the wrong forcast or forgot to take her meds :beach:

Well, I am taking cold meds right now! I forgot I was speaking a foreign language!! :rotfl2:

I modified my previous post so as not to cause further shock!

Thanks, I am sure it will be great! We will be the crazy Canadians in shorts and T-shirts!! 63F is better than the 43 it will be at home!

It has been INSANELY hot this Fall in So Cal. It's more like summer weather.

Take it slow, find the spots with A/C/, and drink water, water, water.

(speaking in celsius too, don't get scared!) MAN I wish it were in the 30's here in Raincouver too! :lmao: I actually had a dream I was going back to DLR last night, it was a last minute trip and I realized the morning we were leaving that I'd forgotten to make up my RideMax plans, and I was panicking trying to get them done before we had to go to the airport! Then I woke up! :rotfl:

Yep, remember to keep the fluids flowing. Nothing worse than getting carried away enjoying yourself only to dehydrate a bit and start feeling crappy until you can get the water flowing again.

We (me and DH) just returned from WDW with 95 degree weather and MASSIVE humidity. We had to remind ourselves to keep drinking water. One day we got caught up having fun and just never refilled our water bottles. A few hours later, we were both dragging, headachy, and cranky. Water water water.

Ha ha, insanely hot would be fun for us on our trip in Jan since we'll be coming from below zero (Farhenheit!) weather :-) I know 90's aren't a possibility in Jan but I'm laughing at your dismay a little bit since I would be ecstatic if it were in the 90's when we go (if the other option is cool). :rotfl2:

We are here today too.

We spent a few hours in DL and then came back to swim and cool off. We will head back over soon.

Was it really super-crowded, or did it just appear that way at the gates. We were there on this date last year and the crowds were very manageable then. I'm just wondering if it is a lot worse this year...

It's not common but it has hit 90+ degrees in January a few times in the past.

I can imagine it still being hot over there at DL. Im in southern AZ and still have temps reaching the low 90's.

I also am hoping some of the heat lasts a few more weeks since we'll be there after Thanksgiving. Although I would prefer 80 to 90 please. Can someone conjure that up for us?

We have been there during the Santa Ana's before. And while it was warm, the wind closed a few rides and made it kind of a bummer that way.
