I finished book 1/30: David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell. If you've read any Gladwell books, this is more of his same formula: Fascinating, well-written anecdotes incorrectly presented as research with questionable conclusions. I have read 4 of his books because he is very influential in my previous line of work. This is the first I've read him since leaving that profession, and yeah, I just don't need to read his books anymore. He is a brilliant writer, but I never agree with the conclusions he draws or his research methods.
Next up: The Eye of the World: Book 1 of The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. I've been wanting to read this for awhile but have been intimidated by the number of books in the series if I enjoy it. But no better time to give this a go than a new year so here goes.
