Here it is - Announcement re More FP+ Beginning 4/28

The post JUST came out. I just saw it too!

So starting Monday, after guests have used their first three FastPass+ selections, they will be able to select another one at one of the kiosks located in each of our WDW parks.

Hopefully it's not KIOSKS ONLY!?!?

Regardless, this is nothing but change for the better in my opinion.

Is it possible that I am the first one to post this? I don't see any other posts about this. Sorry if I missed it and I am really the 45th person to post this:

Seems like a mixed blessing, as everyone has been saying. This really screws you up if you pick Wishes or something as one of your initial 3 FP+.

I HOPE they will allow for that sort of stuff. (she says with baited breath and her fingers crossed)

Thanks for posting. I was really hoping they'd make the 4th FP+ available to be booked through the app, but it appears it will have to be through the kiosks. Sigh...

I'm not complaining, but this just turns FP+ into regular FP. Ride a ride, get a fastpass. Only difference is being able to pre-book 3 fastpasses.

Disney may as well have just kept the old system in place, LOL.

But can you use the 4th (why isn't it more than 4 total?) in another park from where you used your previous 3? :confused3

Sounds like it :confused3

Guests will also be able to select and use their additional FastPass+ entitlements when they hop from park to park.

This is good news! I hope that over time it will continue to evolve. I would love to see this available through the app and not just kiosks and I'm hoping that is something that will eventually happen as well.

So. . . are any headliners available same-day right now at the kiosks at around 12-ish? Or, are they all gone by then? Should we now schedule FP+ early in the day or is it still worth it to do rope drop and then FP+ and then hope for things still open at around 2?

This sounds like (correct me if I'm wrong please) FP- where you HAD to go to the kiosks and get the passes and if they were out of them, well then you were out of luck.

Am I right? Basically, FP+ and booking ahead of time will just make it easier to avoid rope drop at things like TSMM or whatever your top tier attraction is.

Am I oversimplifying? Is this right?

I'd like to know this, as well. I like that you have the ability to book a 4th, and then a 5th, and then a 6th and so on, but I also wonder how many options will be left. I would pick for my fast passes to have return times in the early afternoon so that I was booking my 4th by 2:00, but if others have booked so that they return much later in the evening, what will be left? Looking forward to hearing people's reviews.

It's worse! Because people will be at the kiosks much longer than the old fastpass machines  And if you finish your 4 FP+ by 12pm, you're not going to get any more. And people who book for fireworks will never get a 4th.

Guess I should have read the actual article. ;) But I want 8 FPs all at once. That hasn't changed. :thumbsup2

Why will they be there longer? (Not being sarcastic although that sounds that way)

From reading the article, it seems as though the kiosks will be our only option for now. I think this will eventually change to allow us to make those 4th and so on fastpass reservations from our phone apps at some point. I don't like the idea of having to stand in a long kiosk line just to wait on another fp return line later which may or may not be long. This makes me wonder if i'm going to save any time at all or if i'm actually going to waste more time waiting in line. Of course, adding more kiosks and allowing guests to use the phones to make those extra fp reservations could make a huge difference.

The difference is that now we have to wait in long kiosk lines to get those extra fastpasses when you didn't have to do this before and you have to figure out where your going to be and what your going to do months in advance or you may not be able to get a fp for what you want.

I'm not going until October, but I think I'm going to be at rope drop and try to tour until 11 without using any FP+, then use all 3 between 11 AM and 2 PM.

There might not be any FP worth getting at 2 PM. And the kiosk line might be too long for me to spend time there anyways. Oh well. I guess after 2 PM we'll just wing it.

I'm interesting in finding out if they will quietly exempt nighttime entertainment from the "must use all 3 FP+ entitlements" rule. Disney has to have thought about that scenario. I know they haven't mentioned anything about that, but there's always wishing!
