I have the maxxed out friends list, too!

In fact, I kept trying to add TinkerTracy to my friends list last night
without success, even when I tried to delete a couple of people off
my list.

It started revolving where I added a couple, deleted a couple. I deleted
those who haven't been in the game since July, and worked from there.

I really hope I can add TinkerTracy (if I can find her again). LOL!

It was just extremely frustrating.

Do most people get this many??
Mine seems to max out at 20! (Sorry to people I removed from my list
:sad2: )
I'm maxed out at around 20 also. I'll try just clicking accept next time to see if that works.

I stopped accepting guests as friends--there's just too many of them. I pretty much only accept DIS people, or people I meet through DIS people.

I don't want to be deleted :(

LOL..I won't delete you...Omg I was laughing so hard at your post...

Sorry the smallest things make me laugh..I guess it is the field I work in..

I don't have anyone on my friend's list that isn't DIS or a family member. I guess that makes me a DIS snob!! ;)

I hear you on the crashing. I must have crashed about 10 times yesterday!

For my friends list, as others have said, I clear out people who haven't been around for two weeks or so. (I have left people that haven't been on for two weeks but have Dis in their signature. I'll wait a month for those ones just to make sure they are actually gone from the game)

The quickest way off my friends list is to repeatedly send me "spam" messages, such as come here, etc. If you are going to request my presence, at least use a "please" and an "if you have time". I also delete stalkers pretty quick. If you are following me from room to room when I'm not really doing much, I find that pretty creepy. I had one person come up to me in a room and say, "Do you like me?". I responded with, "I don't know you." and left. Then he showed up in the next room I went to, so I realized he must be on my list. I immediately removed him and went somewhere else. :rotfl:

I must confess:

I've been "room stalking" over the weekend, simply because I cannot occupy myself with the games (except music). Due to too much crashing, I gave up. Instead, if someone on my friends list was online, I'd hop into the room they're in to poke my nose in.

But then again, I visited some random guest rooms and WON my first VMK Top Model room competition. :rotfl2: My prize? An Aladdin pin. Woot! :teeth:

And I wanted to say "hello" to BriarLori, who incidentally just added me to her bulging friends' list this weekend!! :wave2: Nice to meet you -- it looks like we are both from the same part of the country. :sunny:

LOL! I did a lot of add and delete over the weekend, but it still wasn't
enough to add TinkerTracy. :confused3 I think I can find her
if a mutual friend is on. :)

Yes, we're from the "middle west". ;)

I have a question...if you are taken off someone's Friends list are you notified in any way or can I have Friends on my list that have taken me off their list?? I am not on VMK that much, but I hope I am still on some Dis'ers list, so when I do log on I can find my friends

No, there is not any notification, but the name simply disappears off of BOTH people's lists.

So, if they still show up on your list, you still show up on theirs.

Hope that helps.

I don't mind if people go to a room I'm in, if it looks interesting, however if I leave and they follow me again, then it's kind of creepy. I agree that sometimes you can find some interesting rooms on your friends list. I usually check out the room on the popular list too though, just to read the description and make sure it is "open", so that I don't drop in on people who aren't wanting visitors.

Well after deleting a few today I then accepted 4 new friends. I have 153 as my tired eyes just counted.

I am thinking I will have to go through and do some deleting tomorrow. A weekly cleaning should keep me pretty well off.

Thanks to all for responding with your ideas! :teeth:

Has anyone had my problem with their friends list?

I do not trade when a stranger just pops that question in my face. I click cancel and figure that is the end of it. Later I will find them on my friends list! Arg!! (Yes, I delete them, but it is really strange how they got there.)

I met Canadian last night!!
We played Pirates together! I'm PurpleEeyore.

And I just have to ask this question......
Why, when all you do is walk into a room, public I mean like Main St etc, do people ask to be on your friends list? We haven't spoken, nothing! They just ask?? I hope I'm not rude, but I always decline those. :confused3

All the time! I get lots of popups for the friends list request from "guestxxxxxx".
I don't accept those anymore. The only friends I've accepted lately were
DIS people.

I don't like it when someone asks me to trade via popup without even
asking if I want to trade in the public room. Those I immediately hit "ignore",
because when I've hit "cancel", they just keep asking me.

And to Canadian, I do know what you mean about following someone from
room to room. Someone on my friends list did that to me, but only once.
Of course, it's all good if there's an invite to follow someone to another room.

I like to add Dismembers and ask dismembers to be friends.. I love the networking of friendships that are developing here..

Arg! We kicked pirate booty!

When I first started playing (in early Beta) I would randomly click on "ask to be a friend" if I wanted to ask someone a question. Back then nobody's list was full, so usually people accepted. Now, I would ask first or at least be engaged somehow with a person before asking to be a friend. I will however usually still accept random friend requests, because I remember what it was like to be new, and it felt like everyone was ignoring you. (even though they weren't). I think sometimes people don't feel so stupid when they ask a dumb question to a "friend". By accepting random friends, you definitely find some interesting rooms on your "Friends Rooms" list!

Note also to those who were asking, you are not notified when you are removed from someone's friend list. I have been removed from many lists, especially the more "well known" players. I don't take it personally. I used to spend more time with them in Beta, but now they're often mobbed and I'm not interested in that scene anyway. I'm not interested in being a "groupie" to a small pixillated person! :cheer2:

I do need to add DIS member to my signature, DUH, I didn't think about it. Yet that is exactly how I started chatting with Blizzard/Canadian last night!!

One thing I "hate" about Pirates is that in the game I may really enjoy chatting with someone, but you can't 'ask to be a friend' until you come out of the game and sometimes I lose people!

Ok, so I'm off to VMK, just got home from work!!
