Hubby is military and is deployed right now. The family and I are staying offsite, but I went to Shades of Green to get our tickets. The guy at the guard booth asked for my ID and said it was fine that I was just going in to buy tickets. I parked in the lot off to the right of the hotel- it is also where the golfers park. After we got the tickets, I asked one of the bus employees if we were possibly eligible to use the SOG bus to get to the parks. He said we were! Anyway, I learned that as long as you visit the BX or Attractions Window (or I guess you could tell them you were visiting either of those places, but I do believe in honesty), then you can leave your car at SOG and use their transportation to the parks. They do ask for a military ID when you get on the bus to go back to SOG. This trick saves $15 in parking fees every day! We took the buses one day and walked to the Poly to get on the monorail one day.

The parking garage at SOG is for hotel guests only and it costs $5.00 per day:

I'm not sure how parking in a short term lot for PX visitors and then leaving your car there all day to avoid parking fees is honest.

Not to mention SOG will inevitably crack down in some fashion if it becomes known people are doing this. More than likely it'll be something less convenient for actual guests.

I don't know why this particular "trick" at this particular resort bothers me so much more than the same " trick" posted for years all over the boards for other resorts...oh wait a minute....something to do with Honor and all that
