Hi Everyone!

Well, I am here in Disney as we speak!

Me: 29, Dietitian by day, Addicted to the Disboards at night!!!
DH: 30 something, Real Estate, always working.... which is why I have access to the laptop and internet.
MIL and FIL: 50-60 something ( I don't think they would like it if I posted their ages!!!!)- Totally addicted to Disney!
(Pics to follow once DH shows me how to load the pics!!)

We just checked into our room here at AKL. (we are actually changing rooms tomorrow... more about that if you would like to hear!!). We left for Disney on 11/30 (Wednesday) at 2:00 pm from CT. Yes, we actually drove!!! It took 24 hours to get here, so we arrived in FL on Thurs, 12/1, and stayed offsite the first 2 nights.

The weather here is pretty cool (upper 40's at night, low 70's during the day).
We spent the evening in Epcot last night, and there were actually people in gloves/mittens (it wasn't that cold to us!!!).

I have a bunch of pictures to load into the computer, and I can post a daily trip report if anyone would like me too!!

Well, I must get ready for our dinner at Jiko!!

Let me know if you want to hear more about our trip! We will be here until 12/10/05!

I hope you have a wonderful time! We love the AKL.

Us too! We always stay at AKL. This is the first time in Dec (usually Oct), and it is interesting to note that we have only seen one animal on the Savanah this evening (we are on the Arusha Savannah). We usually see many more on this Savannah... I wonder if it has anything to do with the colder weather?

Also, the bellman said that a baby giraffe was born at AKL last week, and should be introduced to the Savannah within the next week.

I was happy to see that they no longer have NesCafe Coffee in the room (now it is Chez Parisien, 100% Arabica Coffee), but I was bummed to see that they no longer carry that Kens Honey Mustard sauce!! (the sauces changed to something like Castelmen, and only in BBQ and Sweet and Sour). This must have been a universal change, as the AK no longer carried Kens either!!

We arrive tomorrow,I like at Disney updates like this. Have a magical time :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

I wish I was there right now, as it has been snowing here all day like crazy!!! :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold:

My mom and are thinking and hopeing we can go to Disney World next Dec. for an early Christmas! Are you going to be going to the Mickey's Christmas Party( and if you are could you please tell me more about it, when you get back from it)? Also are there a lot of cute Disney Christmas items for sale and what kind of things have you seen? Thanks in advance!

I hope you are having a wonderful time!

We'll be at WL on Thurs. I'm so excited! Hope you guys are having a wonderful time, and we'd love to see some pics and hear about your days!

I'm in a major blue  slump here...am looking for a little brightness in the world right now!!

Oh How wonderful we are there soon, If you dont mind and you have some time let me know how the weather is please, I do live on South Florida but Orlando is always colder than us here.....have Fun!!!

We decided to drive this year to FL. We go to FL every year, and ALWAYS fly, but we thought.... "wouldn't it be fun to drive one year??" So, this was the year! Why, why did I suggest that??? :confused3 :confused3

When we left CT, it was rather mild (60's), but rainy. Here is the car geting packed up for the trip:

Now, we don't have any children yet, but that doesn't mean we didn't leave anything behind!! Here is the crew that is greatly missing us!!

In case you are wondering, they are not ALL my dogs!!! The 2 bigger ones (the mastiffs) are mine, and the 3 little ones are my in-laws. As I tell you a bit later, they have not been perfect little pups while we have been away!!

Here are some pics of our drive down... notice how cold we all look the further South we go!! (Isn't it supposed to get warmer the more south we go??). :cold: :cold:

We started driving at 2:00 pm, so by the time we ended up in the Carolinas, it was around 1:00 am.... notice we are actually still smiling!!! (amazing!!!)

Alas!!! 24 hours later, we are in FL!!! It was only about 55 degrees when this pic was taken (at 2:00 pm), but that didn't matter!! No jackets allowed in FL!!!

By the way... we all survived being in the car together!!

We had originally thought we were going to be leaving CT later in the evening, and thus arriving later in the evening in FL. So, we decided to stay offsite for the first 2 nights to recoup. Of course, we now arrived earlier, so we took a quick nap, and headed over to DTD!

Okay, I think you can guess we're staying at Disney vicariously through you! Sooo ... please keep the posts and pictures coming!

Our first stop was dinner at Wolfgang Puck Cafe:

I decided an nice strawberry margarita sounded like a perfect snack.... hey, there is fruit in there, and the ice counts as my fluid!!!!

As you can see, I started a trend!

The crowds were not too bad (smaller than they were in Oct of last year), and it really was festive for the holidays!! So far, the temps during the day have been in the low 70's and 40's night. You can tell the people who are from the north in the pics (shorts/skirts), from the once in the south (heavy jackets!!)

Oh, yeah... around 9:30 pm Thursday PM, we got a phone call from our friend who is watching our pups. Seems like they have been up to some extra curricular activities! They decided to shred their beds (which are full of feathers!). Apparently they are not happy that we left them! The kitchen was full of feathers. I will have to make sure I buy our friend something good for taking care of, and cleaning up after these silly pups!!!

Well, off to eat breakfast now, but I will report more later. I have pics of our hotel (AKL) and other hotels for the holidays!!! Plus, I have pics from our dinner last night at Jiko!! Great food!!! Today we are off to Epcot for the day, then to MGM to view the lights!!

More later!!

Please tell us more! Wish I was there with you! :cloud9: Have a great time!

By the way never_enough_pooh, I see you feel the same way about the little honey bear. LOL :sunny:

mmmm, all those food pictures are making me hungry (and excited for my own trip!)- keep posting!

Thanks for the report and the pics!
It's soooo nice to see someone traveling with their In-Laws and having a good time!
Your reports are making me really excited for my own trip!
I assume you are going to MGM during EMH tonight? Please let me know how the crowds are... DH and I are considering doing that next Sunday night!
Hope you have a fantastic time!
