Here goes another stupid question - Palo

Dinner has a menu you select from. You can see the new Palo menu here:

Thank you so much for sharing this @PrincessShmoo! We've done the brunch twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. I was thinking I'd like to try the dinner this time but what I enjoy most about brunch is the variety. I wouldn't get as much of that with dinner. I was trying to figure out how to swing a Palo dinner on our next cruise but now it looks like it will be brunch again.

Now....to figure out how to try the chocolate souffle so many have raved about.... :)

Unfortunately, the only way is to do dinner.

Also - are we going to miss any of the rotational dining? We have Palo on our 4th night, so since there are 3 restaurants in the rotational dining, I would imagine that we will have already cycled through them all and the 4th night is a repeat? Is that correct?

Your breakfast on the last day of the cruise is in the same dining location as the last night, so if you miss the restaurant for Palo, you'll at least be able to see it for breakfast. We did the same thing (Remy on night 4) and were a little bummed, but breakfast made up for it and we felt like we got to experience everything.

so is that $59 or $89 (30+59) for your meal in Palo? I didn't get a great answer from my server last time in Palo, but I wasn't paying that close of attention since i really was not that interested in the pairing menu.

But I would like to know --- for the next cruise!!!
Thanks.

It is a total of $89 as the wine pairings are an additional cost on top of the dinner upcharge. The last time I did the wine pairing with the pri fix menu and my husband just ordered off the regular menu since he's not a wine drinker. Either way it is a lovely dinner!

Ok, I did not know that breakfast was served in the dining rooms....is that everyday?

No, breakfast on the "regular" cruise days is in the buffet and one of the dining rooms (Enchanted Garden buffet - limited hours). Breakfast the last morning is a sit-down meal in the MDR your last night's dinner was in. You are scheduled for early (6:45, I believe) or late (8:00?) based on your dinner seating.

We had the 1233121 Which was AP, RC, EG, EG, AP, RC and AP.
I honestly, would just wait and see what dining rotation you get and go from there. Don't cancel anything just yet. :)

Oops..had it a bit backward. We skipped the 2nd EG night (not our favorite place)

It was AP, EG, RC, AP, EG, RC and AP. so 1231231 And it was January 30th to Feb 6th.

OOOOOh -Kay! That looks better. OP is taking a 4 night cruise, so the rotation would be different than a Fantasy cruise.

Clearly I need to start looking at trip tickers more closely and I would have caught that. lol :)

On our last 4 night cruise we had AEER dining rotation. I think OP has the right idea on booking another one after all. lol
Have a great cruise!

I know Palo is formal, but how formal? Can men wear slacks with a nice polo shirt or is a tie/coat required?
From the DCL website:
Dress to Impress
To preserve the elegant atmosphere, you are asked to adhere to a strict dress code when dining at Palo. Dress pants and shirt are required for men and a dress or pantsuit is required for women. Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip-flops or tennis shoes.

Tie & coat are not required. But dinner is a bit "fancier" than brunch. I'd suggest at least a dress shirt, instead of a Polo. Unless you're asking about brunch.

You can go to late dinner if you want to try that menu for the fourth night in the MDR. Even though you will be more than full. You can still try something if you want. Depends on what seating your normal MDR time is as well.

We love Palo!

Polo shirts are acceptable, as many are considered dress clothes these days. Many aren't comfortable in a full on button up.
