Here comes Peter Cottontail..hoppin down the Bunny Trail...

This little guy and a couple of his (her???)buddies have started hanging out in our yard and our next door neighbor's yard. I think they like our yard because there are no dogs to bother them and we leave the grass a bit long,which gives them a place to hide and feel secure. Nextdoor, there is a nice garden where they nibble on lettuces,carrots and blackberries. Ain't he a cutie? We don't see him often but when we do we try to get pictures of him.

DH and I walk the neighborhood every day and we have been seeing a very unusual rabbit for more than 3 years. He is very silvery gray and white, and DH managed to get a photo of him. If I ever learn to post photos, I will share one.

We do not get too many of those in our backyard...we have a 90 pound shepherd!

We see all sorts of wild animals around here...mostly on the side of the road surrounded by crows, though. There is a pair of redtailed hawks who live near our subdivision that I love to watch in the evenings. Our neighbors have a birdfeeder and we have a birdbath,so we attract all sorts of bird buddies. Mostly it's mockingbirds, but we've seen a couple of cardinals and a sparrow or two.
