Looks good so far! At MGM we enjoyed Sci-Fi and 50's PT. I think 50's PT is especially fun if you have a big group like you do. We went with my dh's parents, and when 2 more of his family arrived later in the week, we had to return so they could experience it.

The best burger of the trip was at Sci-Fi, and some of the servers were really into the theme. Our kids were seated up front and issued driver's licenses, and dh and I sitting in the back seat received a joking warning to keep it a family establishment. We're going back here this summer.

I think your rose and crown ps is too late. Try and make it for 7:30, but dont cancel the 8 until you have it. They start seating the terrace at 7:30, have them put "illuminations table" in the note section. By 8 you run the risk of all the tables being taken. If you cant get an earlier seating, then go to the podium at 11:30 when they open that day and request an outside table.

Id skip chef mickeys and go to the hoop dee doo revue instead. The food and fun is much better. If you want to have dinner with mickeys crew go to the liberty tree tavern instead.

two thumbs up on 50s cafe and crystal palace.

Try and hit whipsering canyone at WL for breakfast. The skillet breakfast is to die for. you can hop a boat from there over to the MK.

ON your other epcot day, Id eat at cape may cafe over at the beach club. great sea food bar. then you can spend the evening on the boardwalk.

I agree that Hoop Dee Doo would probably be more enjoyable for teens than Chef Mickeys which is geared more toward younger kids.
Hoop Dee Doo is a really funny show!!

I originally has PS for Rose & Corwn at 7:00pm and DH said "that's too early - get it for later" should I just check in early that day and tell them we'd like 7:30 terrace if available??

ok heres my rose and crown story.....

We had a PS for 7:10 and were told by the operator to go to the podium at 11:30 that day when they opened to request the outside table.

But when I went to the podium, they said they dont seat outside until 7:30 "for the illuminations tables." When we got back to the room it occurred to me that we could very well have to wait for an inside table while the outside ones stood empty for people arriving later which didnt sit well with me.

So I called the PS number and asked about it, which confused the person I was talking to, so there was some hemming and hawing and he said that he couldnt move our PS to 7:30, so he reccommended that we eat at that place in France, which had a 7:30 open and nice view (though that I just dont see). So he made up a second ps and said hed keep the original, which we could go to first and if we didnt like the table then we could head over to France.

A few minutes later a supervisor called back and asked me about my call and said that they had lost both my reservations, so she called the R&C manager and got us an "Illuminations table" for 7:30. And alls well that ends well.

The moral of the story is to try and get a second ps at 7:30, dont cancel your first (in fact dont even mention it) until youve got that seating. Try for your other epcot day if you need to. And ask for them to note an "illuminations table" in the notes of your ps. If you cant get it, keep the 8pm and head to the podium when they open to make your request. cross your fingers and hope for the best.
