Here are some tips I have:
- a great time to tour MGM is when Fantasmic is going on. My sister (21) and I (18) hate those kinds of shows, so while mom and brother were there, we were walking around the park. It was around 9:00pm and pretty dark. No one was around and we didn't have to wait on line for anything.
- get the fast pass, get the fast pass, get the fast pass. I was very skeptical about it first, but it really works. It's great getting on line for a ride and passing everyone who's waiting! Rockin' Roller Coaster had a 45 minute wait, but my sis and I got right on. Many rides in the parks have fast pass, so do use it.
