We are sitting in the HoJo after a long, wonderful day in Disneyland! We took advantage of the extra hour this morning, and by 10:00, we had ridden Peter Pan, Matterhorn, Tea Cups, Alice, Mr. Toad, Space Mtn, Star Tours, POTC, Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, and twice through Buzz Lightyear! Whew!

Through the rest of the day, we had a lovely lunch at Carnation Cafe, enjoyed the Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe, rode the Jungle Cruise and Indiana Jones as well as another time on BTMRR and two more times on Space. Because the weather was warm, we also rode Splash Mtn. We finished the day by enjoying DS's bday dinner at Cafe Orleans. Delicious as always!

We have been here tues - Sat and today was BY FAR the busiest.
LOTS of young high school choir kids and big family groups. Quite a diff crowd from the rest of the week.

Yes, crowds were busy yesterday and today. We are having a quick break at the hotel before heading back for ELP. The weather is sooooo much nicer than it was forecast to be! I am hoping the crowds calm down a little tomorrow, but even with the crowds, we are still getting to enjoy everything!

I always love the HoJo, although we have had some minor issues this time with the rooms we are in, with phones and coffee pots that don't work very well. Although I know that they cannot fill all requests, we requested adjoining rooms, and not only did we not get that, they aren't next door to each other, or a couple of doors apart...they are really far down the hall from each other. As a party of six it is really inconvenient!! Also, we are so disappointed that they changed their toiletries from the nummy citrus to a very plain nuetral brand. Other than that, staff is curteous as always and room is clean and comfy.

I think there was a discussion here where it was decided that in hotel terminology, "adjoining" actually means "next to each other," while "connecting" means "a door in-between." Though most people I know understand "adjoining" to include a door in-between so I don't think it's fair if hotels define it differently. Sorry it's such a nuisance!

And no citrus-branded toiletries? I sure hope that's temporary. I love washing my hair and coming out smelling like a Creamsicle.
