My official PTR
Gotta start somewhere so I'll start with the 5 W's...
Who:
Me (Joyce)
- Been to WDW several times as a child. Last time was December '96 right before heading to the Citrus bowl to see Northwestern vs Tennessee. I'm still a kid at heart and super excited to be going back to such a magical place, especially with my own family. I'm a bit of a slacker when it comes to details, and since i'm the SOLE planner of this trip, this is the perfect place for me to keep track of everything and bounce ideas off others.
Husband (Jason)
- Never been to WDW, but has been to DL once as a child. He HATES crowds and was very content having to never visit Disney. His twin sister even interned at WDW during college (as Mickey), but he still never had any interest in visiting. That all changed when I basically strong-armed him into taking a family trip there this year.
Daughter (Mia, 6yo)
- Our sweet, little princess. She's still a girly-girl and absolutely loves Disney and anything princess or fairy-related. This may be the last year before she outgrows the princess/fairy phase and that's why DH reluctantly agreed on the vacation. She doesn't know about the trip and WILL NOT know until a couple days before we leave. All h*ll will break loose if we tell her any sooner. I'm pretty certain DH would put the kibosh on everything if she finds out and all we ever hear from her is "Disney this, Disney that...".
What:
Our very first family vacation to WDW!
Hopefully it's not our last!
We're also using this vacation to celebrate our 10yr anniversary.
When:
The least crowded time of the year, according to several sources including the Travel Channel. November 29 - December 6
DH wouldn't have agreed to the vacation if it were any other time.
Where:
Staying at the Wilderness Lodge and visiting all 4 theme parks, along with Universal's Islands of Adventures.
Why:
Why not?!? Need I say more?
Well, this is it for now. I'll use it for updates as I confirm plans. Please feel free to say hello if you're reading this.

I took a little break from the Disney site after booking, I did have a full-time job after all!!
I think I was away from any kind of Disney planning for a week before starting back up. I was so lucky I found this board because I had no clue where to start! I was overwhelmed with how much planning was involved, and to include making reservations on top of everything else?!?!? That just about put me over the edge! I was THIS.CLOSE to asking a good friend to plan everything for me, but stuff at work started slowing down a bit so I got a little bit of nerves to try it myself. This is what I've got so far...
