My oldest dd needs her patches put on her letterman coat. She has about 25 patches right now. The 2 local places that will do it charge $4 per patch...that's over $100 to put these patches on! And mind you I paid $300 for the jacket to begin with! :scared1:

There has to be a cheaper way for me to do this. There is no way I can sew on wool! Is there any sort of fabric adhesive I could use. I don't need it to last forever....just the next 2 band seasons. :rolleyes1 My DH says hot glue them. :rotfl: But I can't fathom that's going to work.

we used to safety pin them from the inside so only a little of the pin would show. Maybe you can find a BIG needle that will go through so you can hand sew them yourself?

I'm not sure how safe it is for wool, but you could try Badge Magic... or could try Wonder Under.

I would never rely on fabric glue alone for outerwear. Too much chance of the patches being scraped or pulled off. Ask for advice at your local fabric shop. There is no reason you can't do this yourself, although it will take time and effort. A good thimble and strong needle with good thread should work. Use pins and double-sided tape for positionin, then stitch away.
