I have planned my trip to be in WDW for the 4th of July. I waited for 90 days prior so I could book a wishes cruise only to find out disney felt is was okay to raise the price to out of this world (too much for my family of 5). So.. I thought I was smart and got my 8:00 PS at Rose and Crown to watch 10:00 illuminations. Now I find out that it will start at 9:00.
I thought crowds would be lighter but not likely. Should I cancel my ps?????
Is MGM a better place for the 4th?????
Should I go back to my orginal dream and be in the MK????
HELP!!!!!!!!!!

8 PM is perfect for Illuminations at R&C. Request a lagoon side table when you check in. Even if you don't get it, they invite all the restaurant guests out on the patio to watch :)

I would suggest trying to get an earlier seating for the Rose & Crown. It's much easier to have a veeeery long meal, than to hope someone else won't choose to have a very long meal to see the show themselves. I would suggest a 7pm seating. Arrive early and let them know you'd like a patio table and are more than willing to wait for a seat. Besides if you eat earlier, even if you don't get a patio table, you can eat your meal quickly and still have time to leave and get a good spot to watch the show. Believe me, with an 8pm PS and a 9pm show, you'll find tons of diners having dessert and coffee after dinner in order to make sure they still get their view. Don't chance it!!!

I have had two 8 PM meals at R&C and it was never a problem getting seated within 10-15 minutes :)
