Helping Each Other Out with DVC Member Pins

I would love to get 2 of each pin, but won't be down again until the first weekend in Dec! Is this their idea of some cruel type of DVC torture or what?!

Anyone who has pins please let me know, I'll post before I go and will help anyone out if I can in Dec. - Thanks!

Hey when you all go, would you ask what the order of release is going to be? I really want all these pins, but I am hoping Cinderella will be released closest to my December trip so I have a chance at getting her in person.

Im going in 3 weeks and at christmas time, i will check out and see what they have and bring back a few, if your interested in one for sure please let me know, my trip starts out at vb for a few days and then on to bcv, maybe we will have better luck at vb.

That may be the easiest way to go about it. I thought that I would get one or two requests, and was really surprised by the number of people I heard from!! I'll pick up some extras when I go, and I'll pick up what I can. If you've already PM'd me, I have your requests written down. Hopefully, the next person going can pick up a few more.

zulaya - I'll try to remember to ask about the release schedule while I'm down there.

hello to fellow pin collecting DVCers!

I am at WDW right now! I have found the Jiminy pins at DTD and MGM. They did not have any at BC. These are the only places I have been so far. I will be checking other places before coming home on Friday.

No Tinks anywhere. An informed sounding CM at MGM said they would be back out in a few weeks.

When I showed the CM at DTD my member card, he looked at me rather blankly. I probably could have gotten several pins from him, but I only got 2.

So.. right now I have one extra to trade. I have one for a lady who sent a PM to me earlier, too. I would like to collect 2 of each of the other 4 pins. Any one who will be down later, please PM and we can trade. If anyone wants one and just wants to pay me, pm also. I will buy as many as I can.

I will probably stop by DTD after dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse tonight and see if they have any more Jiminy. I will update this if I get any more.

I'll ask about the release dates, too.

I have only ever seen that offered once on Ebay & it very quickly bid up to over $50. It looked to be a very nice collector's piece.

I don't have the Sandbreaking pin that you speak of, but I do have the pin that people got during th open house of BCV before it officially opened. I got 2 of them when we were there and went through BCV back in June 02. If I knew how to attach a picture I'd take one and then show you.

Anyway, I am interested in pin swapping/trading. I will be down there from 8/31 - 9/8. I will be getting anything that they put out as far as the DVC pin. My dd has the Tink pin because my ILs were there back in Feb or something with friends who were DVC and they got it for her. I guess I could say lucky her.

Maybe we should compile a list of DVCers for who will be there and when. If we can find out the schedule for pins releases, we would know who to talk to to trade/swap with, or even who to talk to before they leave to say hey I'd be interested in a trade or whatever.....

I will try to keep a list of who is going and when, so that if you would like to contact them to help you out on finding a pin you can do so. I just reviewed the list and there are only a few who had written specific dates that they would be in WDW.

I am going May 24 for members homecoming and i would be happy to search for Tink and the new cinderella pin for anyone, only for dvc members who are collecting not for reselling on ebay.
