Help!

Now that DH is 'trapped' into going to DIS-Con ( ), he wants to know if we could stay somewhere a little less expensive than the YC/BC....so.....where would my fellow DIS'ers recommend?

It seems as though most people are staying at the YC/BC or they are DVC members.

--Or--Maybe those are the only people who answered that particular thread...LOL

So, what do you guys think???

Well Luv, we are staying at the ASMO. It's still onsite, but the lower price allows us to stay a few extra days. Any way, we've stayed at the ASMu before and survived just fine.

We are going to be staying at All Star Sports. We will have a car, so that's not an issue for us. DIS CON will be our 3rd trip this year and we stayed 2 weeks in June, one at The Yacht Club, so in order to afford this trip, it had to be value. We did get the AP rate of $49/night. Hope this helps.

We're staying at PO-Riverside. It seemed to me that quite a few people
have mentioned that they are staying there (although I agree that more
seem to be at Y+B Club).

How are you? Well, All-Star isn't a deluxe, but it really isn't that bad. We enjoyed it, and our kids are happy anywhere we put them. The CM's at Movies were better, IMHO, then the ones at AKL. We found transportation to be fine.

If I had to choose between that and off-site, I would choose ASM in a minute.

The difference in your YC/BC prices and a moderate is only $200.00 for 2 people. That doesn't seem worth it to me.

I am staying 1 night (the 27th) in another Disney Hotel before moving over to the Y&B Club for the convention. Here are the prices I was quoted for the night (these are AP rates)

All Star Whatever - $49 per night
Riverside - $110 per night
Poly - $198.00 per night

DH is really pressuring me to stay at the All Star Movies...I just don't want transportation to be a problem.

We've always stayed at The Poly.

Hi Tia,

This will be my fourth stay at All Star Music; I never had a problem with transportation!
I had the convention package with a reservation at All Star Movies. But, the AP rate ($49 ex tax) was not available there, so now I will stay at Music.
Linda changed my convention package into events only.

And you've almost got me talked into this....but I'm NOT telling DH.....he's searching the net right now for pics and info to shower me with.....LOL I'm going to make him work at this!

I don't know though.....would be awfully 'convenient' to just walk downstairs for some of these events!!!
