Help!!!!!

What am i doing wrong i try to reply to some of the posts i sign in and type my message sometimes lengthy then when i go to submit it says i'm not signed in i sign in again and it has lost my message i cant get it back i am about in tears this morning well it's afternoon now thats how long i have been trying to relpy to one post it has been happening for a couple of weeks now sometimes i just give up posting after a couple of tries an odd time i can retrieve the message can it be a setting on my pc somewhere someone please help before pc takes flight.

Hi Sharon

I've just looked at your profile to confirm my 'suspicion'. You have selected <i>not</i> to remember User Name and Password.

Our boards use something called cookies which we use to identify and remember you when you visit the site, however if you are inactive for more than 30 minutes on the site then the cookie will expire. Because you've told the site not to remember your user name each new time you visit, you have this problem where it asks you to log in again when you hit submit.

There are 2 ways to fix this 'problem'

1) Change your User Profile to automatically remember you each time you visit as long as you are logged in - if you share your computer then you can log in at the beginning of your session and then out at the end manually.

2) If you know you have taken a long time to write a post, open a second browser window and visit the site again to log in, then go back to your original post and submit as normal.

Does that make sense?

Or (and this is not the best way to do it but I resorted to this when my Internet connection kept going down constantly and without warning!) if it is a long post, type it in Word and then copy and paste it in.

Penny's way is much better!

I totally understand how frustrating it is and I have experienced it myself so I really sympathize!
