Help. Leaving next Sunday for our first cruise out of Miami. We are flying in the day before but not into Miami, but will end up in Miami the day before. Can anyone tell me where we have to go at Miami airport for the transportation and what do we do with our luggage.

Why you going to Miami airport? Just take a taxi to the ship.

When my husband booked this cruise, it leaves out of Miami. Disney offered us transportation to and from the port so he went with it. It's our first cruise.

You can always cancel the DCL transfers, up until 3 days prior to the cruise. It might be worthwhile for you to do so.

We will be on this cruise also!!

Don't know the answer to your question though...I don't think I have ever taken DCL transport from the airport, but I seem to recall seeing WDW employees standing around at Orlando airport with the "mickey hand" signs. They were after the exit from secured areas, and maybe near baggage claim? Definitely give DCL a call to check.

The airport in Miami is really close to the port. If you need to take a cab to get to the airport, I am sure it would not be much pricier to just take the cab directly from your hotel to the port instead of the airport.

If you have a rental car and are dropping the car off at the airport, most of the rental car agencies actually offer free shuttles to the port from the airport location, as the airport offices also serve as the port offices. You might want to check with your agency, if they provide that service.

As @PrincessShmoo said, you can cancel the Disney transfer up to 3 days before your trip without any penalty. I really don't see a scenario where the airport transfer would be useful for you. It seems to just add one additional step into the whole scenario and from what I know about Disney pricing for transfer, as soon as at least two people are involved, the other methods should be cheaper anyway. I think it might even be cheaper to just take a taxi from the Miami airport to the Miami port. According to the port website, it is a flat fare between airport and port of 27$.

Hope you have a fantastic first cruise!
