Is there really 3 parades to see? once upon a dream- fantillusion - candleabration.

You guys must be die-hard Disney fans - how on earth do you work it all out?? there are so many shows that are only on at certain times etc etc.

Is there a secret to doing/seeing it all ? I think I need a tour guide.

Thank you for any advice.

It depends on when you're going.

Once Upon a Dream always happens and is usually at about 4ish or so, except in the summer when it's nearer 7:30.

Fantillusions only happens occasionally - abotu 2 months in the summer and another 2 months at christmas. This tends to be not long before the park closes.

Candlabration isn't really a parade as such, it's closer to a show and takes place in front of the castle very close to park closing.

There are quite a few shows, but it's not too bad fitting them all in. The official Disneyland Paris website publishes a timetable for both parks which displays the various times, so yo ucan plan in advance for when you go :thumbsup2

The shows/parades are a major part of the DLRP experience for me - I like to cram as many of them into each visit as possible.

As well as the parades (if you're going up til the end of this month, yes, that would include Fantillusion and the fireworks) there is Casey jnr character express, then the Lion King, Tarzan, Sleeping Beauty, and Mary Poppins shows. In the studios, there is a mini-parade in the morning, plus the toon train 3 times a day-ish, plus Animagique, Cinemagique, and Stitch Live. Moteurs show too, and Art of Animation.

Its all fabulous :yay: - I can't wait til my next trip, to see all the Halloweeny shows too!

Don't forget High School Musical in the studios :)

Thanks - how could I forget those 2 shows? Love them (possibly even more than DD does :rotfl2: ).

I think you'll struggle to see everything in both parks in 2 days unless you plan it like a military campaign and move fairly quickly. With this in mind, it's much better to pick and choose the rides and shows that interest you and concentrate on those, allowing you to come out of your holiday alive and sane :rotfl:

I don't think you could possibly see and do it all in 2 days. We were there for 6 days and still didn't see it all. We were taking it slowly because of having 3 young kids, but even if we didn't I don't think we could've done it all in 2 days.

we have been on 2 x 1 day trips
and a 2 day trip

and still soooooooooo many more things to see / do

we like to have shorter trips :)
and its fun looking forward to / planning what we will do "next time"

We have just returned from our first visit and ab loved it!! You def have to see the parades, they were the highlight for our kiddies. We only had two days there. We decided to go to the park later on the first day so that we could stay there later. Our girls are 8 & 6 and we figured that starting early and staying til the Fantillusion and fireworks at half 10 would be too much. We arrived around 2pm, did the usual rides and stuff, watched the evening parade at 7.15, then went for dinner before wandering round for a bit til the Fantillusion parade. The girls managed really well with this schedule-they only got a little fed up between the end of Fantillusion and waiting for the Candleabration and fireworks, at which point a little snack from my bag came in very handy!!

On the second day we didn't plan to watch the evening parade again as there were still rides we wanted to go on, but the girls were adamant they wanted to see it again. As luck would have it we (accidently) wandered right to the start of the parade and had a fantastic view of it, much better than the day before when we had waited for ages for it in a not nearly so good position. I know somewhere on these boards people have posted where the parade starts from, so that is worth checking out.

Two days def wasn't long enough, but we bought Annual Passes and are already planning when to go back!

!

i bet they would have surprised you! we were there from EMH (8am) til 12.30am! we did hire a buggy @ 9pm for my 6 yr old, as he was starting to flag, but this is the first time we have done so

last yr he was more wide awake than any of the rest of us!

Must admit on the second day we had planned to leave by 8ish as we had to return home on a lunchtime ferry the following day. But... We arrived around 11am and left the park about 12.15am!!
We didn't do the Fantillusion that day as think all the waiting around would have finished my two off. We ended up staying that late as we got a PP fastpass at 2pm and it wasn't valid until 9.05-9.35pm, then we went for dinner and souvenir hunting after that.
They did surprise us, esp my little one, she barely complained at all, but not knowing how they would react, was prob still worth playing it a bit safe on day 1.:cutie:
