Hi everyone,
We have our trip booked for April 12th-22nd, 2007. We are staying at Pop Century the first 3 nights to save points and then we are staying in a one bedroom at OKW for the first time. I was sooooo looking forward to this trip. Then....I saw the airline prices. :surfweb: OH MY GOD! :scared1: We have never gone in April before but we can't pull the kids out of school anymore because they are getting too old so we needed to book during April school vacation. I live in MA and I am used to only paying at the most, $225 round trip per person. All the prices I am seeing for the dates I am going are approx. $400 per person at the cheapest and that is with stop overs. Non stop flights are running around $500-$600!!I just can't believe it. Is anyone else running into this problem for the first time?? Is it just because of the time of year that I am booking?? People are telling me to book now because the prices are just going to keep gooing up. Any help/advise appreciated.

I Would Just Keep Looking No Snese In Getting All Worked Up About It Right Now You Still Have Alot Of Time Those Prices Go Up And Down So Much I Ran Into The Same Thing Going To Denver In March One Day It Was 500 The Next 400 And So On Finally One Of The Flights Went Down To 146 I Booked Now The Same Flight Is 880 So Just Give It Some Time The Key Is To Check Alot And At All Diff Times

Have you considered Southwest? (Out of Albany, Hartford, Manchester or Providence depending upon where you live) Might not be as cheap as $225, but won't be $400 and will be direct.

The catch is that Southwest hasn't released their flights for April yet. But when they do, check it out.

I would book SW as soon as possible and keep checking for DING fares. You can change flights to the lower fare with no penalty.

Thanks guys. I am waiting for Southwest to come out with the April 2007 prices. We could fly out of Manchester or Rhode Island. Is it true that if I book through them and the prices go down I can get the lower price???

Personally, I would hold out for SW. If you are able to keep on top of them, just book when they come out. The chances for a ding are good...... :thumbsup2

With SW, if the price goes down, you can rebook at the lower price. You'll won't get a refund for the difference in cash, but you will get a credit you can use towards future flights.

We are going to WDW from Philly the last week in Feb. Booked Southwest at $263 pp, this is on the high end. Paid $128 pp in Sept. If you book Southwest within several hours of when the dates are opened for booking, you should be able to get it for between $200-250 pp. I could have saved $20pp on my $263 fare but I was a day late and the cheapest fare was gone.

How ironic is it? Flying SW in the NE. They are the way to go now though. Keep watching....

I live in NH and have been looking at alternative airports for a less expensive flight, I need 5 tickets. We are going to MK during Feb vacation, with the same $ everywhere....Then behold....I found NS from PVD to MCO and NS return as well for $600 for ALL. I thought this was a mistake, so I booked immediately and received the confirmation.....have some pixie dust :wizard: and try PVD (Providence, RI) the airport is very easy to get to, parking and navigating is a breeze!

Try to look for flights at midnight on a Tuesday night. Flights that were reserved, but not paid for yet are "dropped" at midnight on Tuesday...then all those flights are put back into the system and become available, supposedly at a cheaper price. I've never actually done this, but my brother does it all the time and swears by it! ;)

I prefer to fly out of Logan , but just booked SW out of Prov last night for 3rd week of Jan. they had been $135.00 each way untill yesterday it went to $59.00 each way N/S .

Flying out of Logan either with Jetblue or Delta you could get non stop for $221.00 but those were also for 4pm or after flights and I didn't want to waste the day waiting to get to WDW , but if you needed cheap thats one way too.

I say use SW Ding and check Orbitz , Jetblue and Southwest web sites EVERYDAY. The prices change ALL the time.

Good Luck
