Hi! I am new to this part of the boards. :wave2: I have only been to Disneyland once when I was younger. I want to get out there before the 50th celebration ends. However, I have a busy summer and not a lot of money (poor college kid :confused3 ). I also am not found of heat and HUGE crowds. What are people's suggestions? Could someone more experienced point me in the right direction? TIA! :goodvibes

PS I am free at the end of June and most of August!

The only suggestion I have is to stay at the offsite hotels on Harbour. These are actually closer to the main gates than the Disney onsite hotel at a fraction of the cost. Some have free breakfast, and they all have free parking.

Their proximity would be great for the summer. If you found the crowds were getting too large, you could go back to your hotel for a pool break or nap and return later.

Here's a hotel map with links:

We have always found the beginning of June to be a pretty good time to visit ( this helps you none). Crowds and heat get worse and worse from here out. The 50th does not end until October so maybe you could find a long weekend in September depending on your class schedule. The crowds will be back down as well as the temperature.
