I made ressies a long time ago to take my daughter to Norway princess breakfast, party of 2. Now it turns out my DDs friend is coming but they won't let me change my ressie to party of 3- they are saying nothing is available. I have never done this breakfast before...should the three of us show up for the ressie and try to talk them into putting an extra chair at our table. Or maybe the girls, 9 & 10, could eat by themselves and I could wait in the lobby. My dd has been looking so foward to this, I would hate to cancel altogether. Nothing is available now for any dates we are there. Suggestions, anyone?

This might be a stupid idea but maybe they could sit together in one chair? I know that when I was that age my butt was little enough to share a chair. I bet if you showed up and offered to do it they might just help you out, maybe.

We have the same problem except it's an extra adult, my mom, we're bringing. We have breakfast in Norway for DD's B-day but it was reserved for us before she decided to come with us. Some how I don't think we'd be able to share a chair though, that's for sure! lol.

Good luck, I hope it all works out for you!!!

When you made your PS, did you give them a credit card number? It doesn't look like it since they just started asking for it just a couple of weeks ago. This means, they won't charge you for not showing up.

What I would do, is show up for your PS with both the girls and throw yourself at the mursey (sp?) of the princess' court. :teeth: If that doesn't work, ask if the girls can do it alone. I don't know what the policy is here (shame on me!!) but I think they do have to be accompanied by an adult. Of course, you must feel comfortable with it as well. Remember to give them disposable cameras to use.

We had this same situation for CRT last year. After calling to change PS many times, the Disney Dining rep told me, "unofficially" of course, to just bring the extra person along. We were easily accomodated, although I remember the check in lady was kind of grouchy about it. That didn't bother me a bit...we had a wonderful breakfast! Most of the tables already accomodate 4 so I think having a third would be less of a problem. We had 5 people for a PS for 4. Good luck with it!

Thanks you guys....you told me what I was hoping to hear. I think it would be very undisneylike to turn us away-The big part should be that a table has already been set aside for us, I would think.

I was told that the tables were set up for 3 people. We have 5 and have to sit 3 and 2. But I still do not understand that they cannot add one person. That is so funny!!!

My dd and I just ate there Apr. 29, and our cozy little table for two probably could have accommodated a third, it would just cut down on the walking space between tables. I found the waitresses there very sweet - though some have complained that they are two slow. My feeling is - they are Norwegian college girls here for a few months NOT professional waitresses. Also, even if they work the evening shift at Akershus, that's a buffet and they don't get the workout they would at a traditional sit-down.

EZ, I would suggest getting to your PS as much ahead of time as possible. They seemed to have just two seatings, early and late, and whether the PS was for 10 a.m. or 10:15, we all got in based on when we had checked in, which was about 9:35 in our case. DD and I got right into the first area the princesses visited and luckily we were able to finish most of our meal before "the girls" started showing up.

I loved this experience. Hope it works out ok for you! :D

Not to rain on your parade, but a table for TWO was set aside for you. The tables for FOUR were set aside for others.

They can't just pull up an extra chair. Fire codes, ADA requirements, general safety doesn't allow aisles to be blocked--that's why you can't take your strollers into the restaurants. Only certain tables can have a high chair pulled to them.

Yes, I would show up with the extra, perhaps they'll have a cancellation or a no show. But expect to wait, and don't be too diappointed if they can't seat you.

Anne

Thanks again for all your imput. I have never eaten in this restaurant, so I could not visualize its setup. Hopefully we will have some nice cm's who will try and help us out without causing a safety hazard to anyone.

Just show up & ask nicely. The people who work there are quite nice, even if you had a reservation for TWO. It should not be a problem.

I would just show up, smile sweetly and through yourself at their mercy. With it being Disney I don't think they will disappoint you.

Hope you and the two little princesses have a great time.
