I'm not sure where this goes, but I need help. And it's ridiculously convoluted because . . . of course.
Set my alarm to get up and make my hubby and my 60 day out FP for our 25th anniversary trip in December this morning only to discover "one person in your party does not have a ticket assigned."
I bought an AP that I activated when I visited my daughter in Florida in September for a weekend.
I had also purchased an Undercover Tourist ticket which I had linked in My Disney Experience TO MY HUSBAND. I entered the ticket #, put it with his name, and had the AP ticket with mine. At that point it showed both of our names, mine with the AP (could be reassigned) and his with the 5 day hopper (for the December trip, also could be reassigned.) This was mid-summer.
Fast forward to September. When I activated the AP and used it on the weekend, I kept running into issues with when my magic band would work. I used the band to enter the park fine, but when I went to use a FP, I got the blue circle. But when I pulled out my AP card and used that, it read the FP time and went green. The magic band also worked for our room at the resort to get in the door. So it just seemed like the FP, which I could see were assigned to me in MDE under my name, weren't connecting to the magic band. The magic band also did not work for charging privileges. We were only there for the two days, so I just used the card to get past the FP "glitch" and paid in cash.
I also called from our resort room for the bounceback offer that weekend and made package reservations, one under my name and one under my daughter's, for all 6 of us to try for a vacation in Dec. 2017 together. That reservation ALSO has 5 day park hopper tickets involved.
Fast forward to this morning, I get up to make our 60 day FP and now I am seeing an AP activated on the day before I used it in the parks, Sept. 9, THAT CAN BE REASSIGNED???
And a 5 day hopper connected to my name that CANNOT.
Plus a 5 day hopper connected to my son (which made me think, oh, those hoppers are just the Dec. 2017 hoppers on our package...)
Needless to say, I tried re-linking the number on the back of the Undercover Tourist ticket to my husband and it says it's already been used.
By me, I guess? When I was having all the trouble with the weekend trip magic band after activating my AP?
Am I correct in realizing a month later I just threw away my husband's 5 day park hopper on two days when I did not park hop and had already started the clock on my AP?
Why would I activate an AP in September and not use it the following day in the park? Was there something I was supposed to do that I missed? Or did the tickets just get messed up and now I'm SOL having used a ticket that cost WAY more than a 2 day non-hopper that weekend as well as starting an AP that shows no park entry (and won't until December with three months of time wasted) AND have to buy yet ANOTHER park hopper in order to make fast passes for our trip, which of course, starts TODAY?
Sorry for the length, but if anyone can point me in the right direction about what to do (if anything CAN be done other than accepting the money is flushed?)
