Looks like a Disneyland trip may be coming up at the end of Febuary.. yes durning pres weekend :( Family is all flying in for a wedding so figured we would all take a short visit to Disneyland as well. :grouphug:

There will be ALOT of people with us.. We would all like to stay at the same hotel... any suggestions? My aunt is thinking Anabella, my dad is thinking Worldmark? Any advise on those?

WOC.... Never done this before.. What are your tips? We did priority seating for fantismic is that an option for this? I saw something about a picnic.. so does that reserve your spot too?

Any help or tips would be great.. thanks :):cheer2:

I've never stayed at any of the offsite hotels, so I'm not much of a help there, but as far as World of Color goes, you can either get a fastpass for it first thing in the morning, or you can purchase a picnic package http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/world-of-color-picnics/ and eat that for lunch. They will give you a fastpass for each picnic meal you purchase, and when I did it, they gave us each a World of Color reusable grocery bag and a light up bracelet! What I like about the picnic package is that you need to eat lunch anyways.. and a decent lunch at the parks will cost you basically the amount that you're going to spend on the picnic package anyways, and you'll get the fastpasses without having to wait in line first thing in the morning. It was ideal for us, living in San Diego; we usually don't get to the park until around noon and we just stay until close.

The other route that you can go is the dinner packages at Ariel's Grotto ($39.99 for adults, $20.99 children), or Wine Country Trattoria for either lunch ($29.99 for adults, $18.99 children), or dinner ($39.99 adults, $20.99 children), and they will give you fastpasses for the show there as well.

But in my opinion, if you aren't planning on eating at either Ariels' Grotto or Wine Country Trattoria, go with the picnic package. The food is actually not bad at all, and it's a little more budget friendly!

So for woc.. its not like fantasmic with reserved seeting?

If we do the picnic where do you eat it at? is there a spot reserved?

I did see that link for ariels, and we probably will eat there but it said there were no characters during woc meal times?

thanks for your help

There is actually no seating for WOC at all. You stand in a designated area. You're not guaranteed a front-row view or anything, just a spot to stand in a certain section.

If you order a picnic, you simply go and pick up a boxed meal and you will get the FP for the WOC show. You can eat the boxed meal anywhere you like. You pick it up during the day before the show.

At this time, there are no characters at the dinner service at Ariel's.

thanks for your help

my suggestion would be hojos, we always stay at the ET rate. they have suites, and connecting rooms. they are wonderful there and have a clean and accomodating property!
