Help with xd memory cards!

I need to buy a couple of 2GB memory cards for my new camera ready for our trip but before I have always had cameras that use SD memory cads. The new camera we have got takes XD memory cards.

Apart from noticing that XD memory cards are a lot more expensive than SD , I have noticed that there are different types of XD card such as 'type H' and 'type M'.

Can anyone with knowledge of XD memory cards tell me what the difference between these types are?

Ah, how could I forget about my good friend Wiki!!

Well that does make a lot more sense to me now. Type M = more storage but slower read/write speeds and Type H = video storage and special effects.

Better consult the users manual!

I did look at Walmart but they cost about £15. The cheapest I have seen for a 2GB is at amazon for just under £9. Think i'll get them from there.

I priced up Micro SD cards in Walmart last year found them very expensive, they were about half price at Play.com. Free delivery and got cashback with rpoints

I'm doing ok! more mobile now
I found that kmart was quite cheap for memory cards last yr, 1gb $14.
but if there isnt much difference with play then i suppose it makes sense to get them there and also through rpoints.

No don't remember play247.
Only had a quick look but can't see a good price with Amazon, all with retailers with postage costs, have you seen one that qualifies for free delivery?

Ah, i've just seen the postage! £5 for every card! Oh well, Play.com it is then! At least I can use my Quidco account to get some cashback
