Can someone tell me where to find advice on what park to go to on which day? We are arriving on 11/30 and leaving on 12/6. 2 adults and 2 girls ages 5 and 8...our first trip with the kids!

OH YES...I don't think we will be using the park hopper... unless someone convinces us we really need to.

touring plans dot com has crowd calendars by day but you can't view too far ahead unless you have the Unofficial Guide (book).

Have you checked out tourguidemike.com? There is a fee to subscribe........but there is lots of helpful advice for planning a trip.

I used the calendars at the WDW website to plan which park which days based on hours open (the week we are there MK closes early several nights for the Halloween party), special events I wanted to do like Playhouse Disney at MGM, a character meal (I wanted it at the very beginning of the trip before DS was exhausted and overstimulated) etc.

Hope my methodology is helpful to you as well!

I bought the book for about $12 on Amazon, and the website is EXTREMELY helpful. Touring plans . com is a must for knowing the god and bad days for each park. For an additional fee, you get access to the entire site for a year for about $8. I have a promo code if you want 20% off that though. let me know!

If you go for the one park a day option, I would really advice on skipping the parks that have extra hours. At our last trip in Jan, the crowds were extremely full at the parks that had extended / magical hours even in the middle of the week! The other parks were just delightful. Have a great time!!!

It's very difficult to get info on the best parks to go to on each day without joining something or getting a book. I used tour guide mike. He had great info.

Has anyone been in September and done base tickets and used the Extra Magic Hours? How is it? Should we do it?

September is our fav time to go. It still feels like summer - 90's. You get to swim still! The crowds are the least I have seen. Longest you have to wait is 20-30 mins on weekends for popular rides. We have also gone in Jan, May, and October. The last time we went in September was in 2003 before they started doing the free dining. We leave again on Sunday. So, we will be comparing how it is to past years. I have seen on the boards that it is a little more crowded especially at the restraunts. So, you need to get your ressies in early. It is a good idea to get the travel insurance as it is hurrican season. Have fun!

I can't find anything on the WDW about the free dining I keep hearing about...would love to know more for planning our next trip!

Yes..I would love the code. Sounds like this or tourguide Mike are the most popular and helpful. We'll check them both out! Thanks for the help!

The code is

AEN0911R and it's for 20% off the normal price of $7.95, which is good for a whole year, but if you need more time than that, they're nice and flexible about it. Good luck!

PrincessNala, I would be interested in what you have to say when you get back! I am also interested if you try staying in the park that has early extra magic hours. We are thinking we will buy base tickets, but we love the early extra magic hours! Love to hear your reports! When you going?

We will be at Disney from Dec 3-7, and our plan is:

3rd: Animal Kingdom
4th: Magic kingdom
5th: Epcot
6th: MGM
7th: do anything that we missed or want to get in "one more time"

Great to see someone going at the same time we are! We are taking our two dd's for their first trip- ages 5 and 7- the 7 year old turns 8 on day #2 of our trip! So exciting!!!

Let's keep in touch!!

I used tour guide mike and the unofficial book. We just went last week and following the advice we didn't wait in any lines, except character lines. They were horrible. I suggest Character Meals if you want to see the character.

Thanks for posting that, I was wondering that very thing. So, character lines are still popular? Is everyone having that same experience? I was wondering if maybe character meals where done so much that maybe we should switch back to character lines and skip ddp or character meals. What is everyone elses experience?
