Help with what a pastry is.

Can someone tell me what the bottom left pastry is? It's for a friend. From CRT. She said it wasn't fruity , more like a mild baklava.

I can't say for sure, but I would guess that it's a cinnamon almond pastry.

From the look of it, I was inclined to believe it is a fruit-filled danish. Given the lack of dark shadow on my computer - I'd say apple, not cherry.

But if your friend tasted baklava, it's likely just an almond (marzipan) filled danish.

If you have a reasonable French bakery near you, almond croissant would be the comparable taste.

Yep, it looks like it is a cinnamon pastry, very similar in shape to the apple-filled ones but with different filling. I have had them on a couple different breakfast buffets. But I don't remember it having nuts?

Strudel. You can find this at any German bakery. They're usually filled with fruit, but you can find some bakeries filling them with nuts and cinnamon, like baklava.

A Bear Claw is an open cinnamon danish topped with icing.

It would have almond paste, not whole or chopped almonds.

Got it. I love almond paste and bear claws, but didn't taste any almond in the ones that looked like that. They obviously makes several flavors though.

It's a strudel, but not berry or apple. (I just had one on May 24.) It wasn't overtly sweet - tasted more like a fig filling. I'm not sure if it actually was fig, but the filling was a light brown color. Def not almond or apple.
