Help with Waitlisting...

I'm trying to add on 2 nights at the end of my trip which takes place at the end of April and I only can find 1 night at a time at a few different resorts but not 2 nights together, since I'm already moving 1 time during this trip I didn't really want to move 3 times so:
Can anyone tell me how I would go about waitlisting the missing night? should I book the one night then waitlist the second or just waitlist the whole reservation for 2 nights?
Or is there a better way of doing this? any ideas? suggestions?

Always getting a single night is easier, but I would get that waitlist set up. I'm hoping that things will open up next week on the 25th when folks can book the poly

Since you get 2 waitlists if one of the available nights is at one of rooms with large inventory I'd book that and use one of the waitlists for the 2nd night there. Then I'd also set up a waitlist somewhere for 2 nights. I don't know if it's the best option but just what I'd most likely do. Also, stalk the website between now and then for cancellations.

Or you could book both available nights and set up opposing waitlists and also continue to check online fairly frequently.
