Being the planner that I am, I would like some suggestions for next summer's dining. My mom and I will only be in Disney for 3 nights and want to make the best of it. We are on a very limited budget, no dining plan as I am a vegan and we are both light eaters.

-We plan on going to AK for only 1/2 day. Rainforest Cafe (we have been there before-like atmosphere) or Tusker House?

-Average buffet price for Tusker House for lunch during mid-June?

-Where can I get a Mexican Conga Fruit Drink?

Thanks for all your help!! :surfweb:

Are you only considering the Tusker House for lunch? I went for the character meal at breakfast and it was a lot of fun. However, we're trying TH for lunch this trip and, if you schedule between 1 PM and 1:40 PM, you can get special tickets for the Finding Nemo show.

The food at Tusker's lunch was VERY tasty. We're vegetarian and left stuffed full of good food. Let them know you're vegan, the chef will come out and talk to you and even walk you through the buffet, and you'll be happy.

Tusker House lunch has become my second favorite meal on property behind only Boma. I'm an omnivore but like to eat as many vegetables as I can and think Tusker House is probably the best option for vegetarian food on property. I can not guarantee all of it is vegan though so you'd have to ask someone else.

I think the Rainforest Cafe has decent food, especially compared to the other overly themed non-Disney restaurants like Planet Hollywood and the Hard Rock Cafe, but I really don't think they are anywhere close to Tusker House.

I personally don't like to eat large breakfasts so the Tusker House breakfast would be a waste of money for me.

Thanks guys!!

I think we may just have to do Tusker House for lunch, as the price is not unreasonable and because there are so many choices!!! :cloud9:

We haven't considered it for breakfast as we are not breakfast eaters. :thumbsup2
