I took my dd to a roller skating party this weekend and was happily telling this lady about my Easter 2003 return trip to WDW staying at the ASMo. She said she stayed there and at ASSp and that compared to the moderates they are a big step down. Now I can handle the room size and I'm excited about the theming even tho there isn't a water slide in the pool but one thing she said did scare me a bit. She said everyone shares 1 bus and 1 bus stop. I emailed my Dreams rep and she assured me that the busses run quite regularly even tho they are shared and that at times even she has had to wait awhile for moderate busses. I need to know from you experts out there an average for the amount of time you had to wait for Allstar busses. I don't mind waiting 15 or 20 minutes occasionally, but would rather not have to always wait that long or longer otherwise me and my dd will be worn out.

Please Help.

The All Star Resorts although the cheapest at WDW ,have the best bus service. People who stay at other resorts have been known to complain that there are soo many buses that go to All Stars. Don't worry about the bus service there. The bus ratio is about 4 or 5 to one from any other resort.

Weve stayed at POR 2x and ASMO 2x. Bus service was definitely better at ASMO. Sometimes the 3 resorts shared the buses but sometimes they didnt. Also, if you stay in Mighty Ducks(like we did last time), the bus stop at ASMU is actually closer than ASMO's. Therefore when the buses are running separate, you really have 2 choices of which bus to take, which ever one shows up first.
IMO, the All Stars arent really that much of a step down from the moderates(or at least POR...and I really enjoyed my stays there).

We just returned from ASMo (first time at WDW) and found the bus service to be excellent. The longest we had to wait for a bus was 15 minutes -- from DD back to the resort -- and we only had to stand once as we had foolishly waited right till park closing to leave. (My only complaint with the buses was that the drivers seemed to be universally flummoxed by the wheelchair lift.) The buses would often arrive at ASMo empty or virtually empty, then swing around to ASMu before continuing on to the park. We were very impressed.

Bus service for us during our stay at the ASMo was excelent. We had planned to use our car at least some but never moved it the whole trip. We never waited more that 5-10 minutes and often less.
The resort as a whole is a very nice value resort. Expect a simple, fun place the is totaly Disney and you will have a great time.

We thought the All Stars bus service was great...a lot more orderly and quicker than the other resorts we've stayed at.

Yes, the rooms are smaller, but the All Stars are enjoyable.

Have fun!

I will never again stay at a Moderate and one of the main reasons is bus service! I hated all the stops at the moderates. The hike back to your room late at night from the waay too many stops. IMHO the moderates are a huge step down from the All Stars as far as bus service and overall layout of the resort.

We were at ASMO in April 2001 (one of the busiest times of the year) and were amazed at the excellant bus service. As you can see from all these posts you should not be worried in the least about staying at ASMO. You will love it.

THANKS to everyone who replied. I feel so much better now about my choice and can't wait to see this resort. Now all I have to do is sit tight until April . . . . . :earsgirl:
