Help with touring plan please!

HI! We are going in July for 2 days and both days are EMH for CA. We are not staying in a disney hotel so we are unable to use the EMH time. We want to go on RSR, Toy Story Mania, Soarin, Mater's Junkyard, and Luigi's. How would you recommend we do this?

My girls are not into big or scary rides such as space mountain, splash mountain, bobsleds or TOT. These are the rides/shows we are interested in:

Is this doable for 2 days (Sunday/Monday) late in July--any ideas on how to tackle it? Thanks

Definitely doable, if you go in with a good plan.

One morning, you'll want to get to DL before park opening and run to Peter Pan. After that, do the other surrounding Fantasyland rides like Alice, and see one of the earlier Tangled shows. Those are very popular, and to get a good seat you need to be there a little before showtime.

The other morning, get to DCA before park opening and go straight to Toy Story. Yeah, there will be people there because of EMH, but if you hit TSMM in the first hour of official park opening, you should still have a minimal wait. After TSMM, I would go back and do Luigi's because that has a slow moving line. After Luigi's, get a FP for RSR for the afternoon/evening.

Make sure you use FP for Indiana Jones, Grizzly River Run, and Soarin (and maybe Big Thunder and Autopia also). You don't want to do those stand-by. Long lines.

Any other attractions on your list, that I haven't mentioned yet, you can pretty much do whenever. The lines won't really get longer than 30 min even during the busiest parts of the day.

You won't be able to do both Fantasmic and WoC on the same evening, so just split that however you want to. For WoC, you need to get a FP to see the show from the official viewing area. FPs are available most of the day from machines over by Grizzly. Aladdin can be done really whenever as there are lots of seats. If you want seats in the lower level, you'll want to show up at least 20-30 min early probably. But seats in the mezannine/balcony are by no means bad spots either.

Hi. If those were my priorities, this is how I would plan my day at CA. Of everything, being there at rope drop and heading toward TSMM first is essential. Since it will be EMH, there will be a line already - but it will only get longer and really never lets up all day. So knock this ride out first before it gets too long. Since this ride is in the back corner of the park, it does make for a little extra walking but otherwise we tend to consolidate our touring and enjoy each land as entirely as we can.


Rope Drop:
1) Soarin – get FP on way to TSMM
2) WOC – also get this FP on the way or wait and get it when you return to the area for GSRR & Soarin', **suggest to read Hydroguy's thread on WOC to determine what viewing are you'd like and decide which FP you want to get
3) Toy Story - ride
4) RSR – get FP (would not ride Luigi first just to be sure the RSR FP's don't run out, also if WOC is a priority you won't want to line up for the FP too late so you don't have a conflict between a late RSR return time and getting a spot for WOC)

Grizzly Peak/Condor Flats:
1) GSRR – get FP (your window should be open by now or very close) or just ride if line is still short (may well be this early)
2) Soarin' - ride using your FP
3) Redwood Creek Challenge – check out if you FP'd GSRR and have time to use before the FP return time

Hollywood:
1) Monsters - ride
2 & 3) - Aladdin & Muppet 3d shows – these are in the same area as Monsters, fit both in before or after riding Monsters based on the show schedules – get to Aladdin to line up a little early

Bugsland:
1) The walkway from Hollywood to CL will take you through here, take a look and decide if you are interested in riding any of the rides here – Ladybug Boogie is fun and Heimlich is unique

Enjoy Carsland!
1) Luigi's - there will be a line, though this has reduced significantly since opening year, I still wouldn't risk doing this before getting my RSR FP during peak summer season
2) Mater
3) RSR – ride the 3 rides in this land in whatever order based on your RSR return time

Paradise Pier:
1)Ariel – ride
2)Golden Zephyr, Silly Symphony Swings, Jumpin' Jellyfish – fit in any that appeal as time allows
3) WOC – again, use Hydroguy's tips to help you determine your viewing strategy and to guide you on how much time ahead of the show you need to show up for a spot


**I am adding that the RSR FP is the wild card here. The return time that is. If you get an early afternoon return time, you may need to split up your shows and double back to Hollywood or even flip flop these 2 lands.

Hi. That'll leave you with long waits for PP and Alice. Possibly the longest waits of your trip. PP always has a 45 - 60 wait (and can be longer during peak.) And I would anticipate longer than usual lines for Alice since it will just have come off an extended refurb closure. So if these rides are truly priorities, ropedropping DL and heading straight to PP followed by Alice will be recommended by just about everyone.

**Oh, I see that PP will be down for refurb 7/21 - 24. The 21st is a Monday. So if you'll be there those dates, PP will be a no-go Monday.
