My family and I are staying at the beach club for our trip in september.I want to switch to the polly but I am so worried about the pool size.Do you think it will be very crowded? Thanks

Depends when you are going in September. Labor day is VERY crowded. The Poly pool is a pretty decent size though. If you are going in mid-late September you should be fine. BC pool is better though, much bigger, always pretty crowded due to its ginormous size.

We go in early August - very crowded. We didn't find the Poly pool to be overwhelmingly crowded. We always got a chair. The only downside is that the way the pool is laid out, the chairs don't really surround it. They're on the beach or off to the sides behind shrubbery. But I really wouldn't worry about it being too crowded (unless its a holiday like Labor Day - may be a different story.)

Everyone's opinions are different and a lot of people say the Poly pool gets overcrowded, but our Poly stay was at the very end of September and we didn't think the pool was crowded. We never had trouble getting a lounge chair. I thought SAB at the BC was more crowded than the volcano pool at the Poly, but that's just me.

We have never been during peak season but have stayed at the Poly 3 times, 2 in September, and wouldn't call the pool crowded. Busy, yes, but not so much so that you couldn't find a chair or move around in the pool. The pool would never deter me from staying there.

Each time we have stayed at the Poly we have ended up at the "quiet" pool due to the crowdedness of the volcano pool. We really like the Poly, and do not spend tons of time at the pool, so this is not an over riding factor for us. We are usually there mid August. Good luck

It's one of the reasons we don't do the Poly anymore (plus its high price tag)...

We've had the issues with the main pool several times, guests coming down early am and staking out lounge chairs with towels .... Pool area lounges and tables are very few... To hard to get a couple together and I'm not one to pay the higher resort rate for the Poly and swim in a secondary quiet pool...same goes for the monorail, I paid for its access throughout my stay, don't want to hear its down and extra buses are coming...

We just prefer to stay elsewhere!

We were very disappointed in not only the crowds but the way the pool is located with little surrounding chairs. This makes parents just standing to watch their kids. Lots of traffic. Wall to wall people in the pool. The rooms are beautiful and the location can't be beat but if you are going for lounging time, you will be disappointed.

I've found the Poly pool to be very crowded when we were there (especially since it's so small), but there have been times that SAB at the YC/BC (big as it is) was also unbearably crowded. If the resort is full and the weather is hot, I'm not sure that there is pool at WDW that won't feel over crowded...

Hello everyone...Well, ugh. I just booked today for a split vacation and have never been to Disney in July. I know that it is one of the busiest times, and I guess I overlooked that. We are only going for pool and relaxation...no resorts and I think that maybe booking POLY GV CL may be just a mistake for the SSS if pool only is what I want for this trip. I think a splurge like that would be better in say...October. Right? POR would be fine I think for this trip....opinions from all you Disney experts?:confused3

These main pools, in my opinion are never crowded the way Poly is:

Saratoga Springs
Coronado Springs
Old Key West
Animal Kingdom Kidani pools and water playground
Wilderness Lodge
Clown Pool at BWI

We stayed at the Poly last year during spring break and didn't feel like it was that crowded. Relaxing? no because there were kids...

I would stick with the BC. Walk to Epcot in 5 min, boat to HS, great dining choices , great atmosphere and great pool. Have a great trip whatever you choose!
