Well I have a surprise trip planned for my girls(5 and 8) and I. I made all the ADR's based on places I know they have loved in the past(we have done the DDP 4 times now) So I wanted my older DD's opinion so I told her that I was helpinga co-worker plan some meals. I then asked her if she would recommend LTT to them but they no longer offer the character's at the meal. Her exact words were" I just don't go for the food I also go for the characters" SO now I'm thinking I should find someplace else to dine instead.
This is what I have:

LTT
1900 park fare
crystal palace(dinner)
Chef Mickey(dinner)
Tutto Italian(dinner)
Hollywood & Vine(fantasmic)
Akersus(storybook dinner)

Any other suggestions:
Were not big eaters in the AM so thats why I didn't book any breakfast.

Tutto Italian(dinner)never done

I can't help with the character meals because we don't do the dinners...we don't care for the selection of food on the buffet, we much prefer the breakfast offerings. I think with your girls ages they might enjoy 50's Prime Time or Sci Fi. Or what about Garden Grill with Chip and Dale?

LTT
1900 park fare ---- (Dinner) I highly recommend! Cinderella, Prince Charming, Stepmother, and the Stepsisters. Great interaction and even get the kids up dancing with all the characters. Food isn't 'WOW' but it is very good.
crystal palace(dinner) Great food... there are so many choices. Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet.
Chef Mickey(dinner) Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Goofy. Food is good but the desserts are better!! I think CM has the biggest selection of dessert at a WDW buffet!
Tutto Italian(dinner) Never did it
Hollywood & Vine(fantasmic) Only ate here at breakfast. Many people here on the DIS don't love dinner. Plus there are no characters at dinner.
Akersus(storybook dinner) Only have had breakfast here. It was a great experience to see all the princesses with our DD2.

Any other suggestions:

I have some dining reviews in my Trip Report.:goodvibes

LTT haven't done, but with no character...
1900 park fare This would be on my short list, but just missed the cutoff.
crystal palace(dinner) Good choice and if you time it right, you might catch Wishes right after dinner.
Chef Mickey(dinner) Haven't been here, but was on top of my short list.
Tutto Italian(dinner) Can't go wrong with a good Italian dinner?
Hollywood & Vine(fantasmic) Wouldn't do this with the Fantasmic package, and the Characters are more for younger kids, if that matters.
Akersus(storybook dinner) Great dinner, someplace we look forward to on every trip.

Would the kids like 50's Prime Time? I've always liked that one, or maybe Sci Fi.

HTH,
Jason

Thanks for the suggestions:goodvibes
We did sci-fi and 50 prime time cafe twice already. I think the Garden grille is a good idea. We have ate there before and enjoyed the food and they would have the characters there. I was also thinking tusker house for a late Breakfast or lunch but I haven't read to many reviews about that yet. I may have to start reading up:surfweb:
