Help with split stay waitlist

Hi, we currently have 5 nights booked at AKV 4/2-4/7, then 3 nights at BLT 4/7-4/10. I would like to change 4/6/-4/7 to BLT with our 2020 AKV points and I can see that the room we want is available, but when I called MS to make the changes, they said that the room is only available to waitlist. How can MS show one thing and the website show another? I’d love to grab the room but I don’t have enough remaining 2020 AKV points to make the swap without first cancelling my 4/6-4/7 at AKV and we don’t have any more BLT 2020 points or 2021 points available to borrow. I am super frustrated! I don’t want to take a chance of losing a night in the middle of our vacation.

Do you see the room still for AKV there? If so, then you’d have a cushion to cancel that night and book the BLT room on your own.

Did you attempt to book it before call Ms? Sometimes that can lock the room if you tried and realized you didn’t have enough points?

If the room is there and you do waitlist, it should fill quickly once set up if this is a glitch.

The room for AKV 4/6-4/7 (2 bed savannah) is only available to waitlist, so there is no cushion if i cancel it. MS mentioned the BLT room (2 bed lake) being locked if i was trying to book it, so i logged out, they checked again and still said it was unavailable. I did get them to put a waitlist for that night so all hope is not lost. They said that if the waitlist comes through that they can make the change for me using my AKV points. It’s just a bit agonizing to see what i want on the website, but to hear it is wrong. I wish i had more points in my AKV & BLT 2020 use years, but we have a big family trip with several reservations out there, so I am down to 6 points. In the end, we will be fine staying at AKV for that night if nothing changes.

Silly question, but do you have the lock off or dedicated 2 bedroom at BLT? One is still there and the other is not. Is it possible the CM was looking at the wrong one?

Update! It was a nail biter, but I decided to go for it! I took a chance and removed the night at AKV and quickly booked the night at BLT! Tomorrow I will call MS to get the 2 stays at BLT merged. What a relief! Can’t wait for our trip! It’s been over 2 years since we have gone to DW.

I am not much of risk taker either. I am sooo relieved. And someone who was waitlisted for the 4/6-4/7 for AKV Savannah view, the room is now available to grab.
