There are ton's of songs by Great Big Sea that talk about Newfoundland and are traditional songs from there.

Lowest of the Low most of there songs are about Toronto

I've got to mention the songs and lyrics of the late Wade Hemsworth - at least two of his songs "The Blackfly Song" and "The Log Driver's Waltz" have been made into animated short films by the National Film Board of Canada - and they're hilarious. Nothing can be more traditionally Canadian than blackflies and log drives!
