Help with Some Questions About "Parent/Kid" Stand-by On Rides

I'm so sorry...I cannot remember for the life of me what the term is called for when parents stand in line & only 1 goes w/one child while the other stands-by w/a younger child & waits. I'm so confused

We leave for DL in 2 days! :cool1: And I suddenly realized that I'm really not all that certain how this process works. This is the situation: DH & I are taking our 2 girls (7 y.o & 2 y.o). Obviously there will be some rides that DH & I can ride with DD1 that we won't be able to take DD2 onto. I believe I read that if all 4 of us stand in line, when we get to the front, we can talk to a CM & ask that 1 of us ride w/DD1 while the other parent stands to the side w/DD2. Then when their ride comes back around again, we will swap.

Here are my questions:

1) Does this apply to *ALL* rides? Or are there only certain rides that will allow this? (I'd hate all of us to stand in line only to get far enough up to talk to a CM & find out we can't do it on that particular ride, kwim?)

2) If DH & DD1 ride first, when they get off, can I ride the ride next with DD1 again? Or will they make me ride it alone (since I was the one who sat out to the side) & DD1 won't be able to ride it a 2nd time (not sure if that's considering cutting in line for her since she already would have ridden it w/DH, kwim?)

Thanks so much guys!

It's called "child switch pass" and can be used with any ride with a height restriction.

You just approach the CM at the front of the que together with your family and they will hand the parent staying off with the 2 year old a pass. After the first parent and child get off the ride you will either go through the FP line or the exit que (the CM will tell you where you use the pass) and YES, you can take your older child with you so she gets to ride twice!

Have fun!

I thought I had read in a thread (quite awhile ago) that the older child could ride both times, once with each parent. I remember thinking, what a good deal for that child!

Not sure though...that was quite awhile ago. :confused3

Yeah, that was my oldest dd's favorite part about taking her younger siblings to DL. She got to ride twice on each of the big rides!
