Help with some last minute plans

Hello!
I am taking one of my kids to DL and we have to work around his football schedule. The dates we have to work with are July 25-Aug 5 (however Aug 1 is a no go due to a wedding)

I have 2 day one park per day tickets. (Missed out on the Costco plan!)

My best options seem to be either arriving July 25 and having July 26 and 27 be in the parks, travel home on July 28
Or
Travel July 28 with July 29 and 30 in the parks, home on July 31.

Help me think this through...seems like motels are cheaper during the week, but I see Incredicoaster closing on July 28. How are crowds expected over those two first options? We both love IC but if it will be majorly higher crowds due it closing we would be ok to miss.
Im trying tow high out the value of lighter crowds verses maximum rides being open.
I toyed with adding a 3rd day to show up and hit IC on sunday the 27, but then we would have two days at CA which is not needed given how short the trip is.

Anything I'm missing? Shows and fireworks should still be running each night so that is not a consideration.

Cheaper 1-day ticket tiers usually end up being just as crowded if not worse. Saturday is tier 6 with only the highest level MK not blacked out. Tuesday is Tier 3 and will be more crowded than what you'd expect, plus the ride you want to go on would be closed.

Our first day in the parks is Saturday July 26 and I am hoping for the anticipated low crowds of Saturdays in July!

July and early August Saturdays are your golden ticket. Max MK blockouts and highest single day tickets. It is truly a dream come true with crowds. July 26-27 are your best bets. I was just there July 4th weekend (for the second year in a row) and it was magical with the low crowds.

Once things become unblocked in August, and all the rides go down for refurb, things will look MUCH different.

Note, I always recommend park hoppers because there is so much more to do at DL (like 3 times as many attractions), but I know it may not be in the cards with cost. DCA is always more crowded than DL because there's less for people to do there. The crowds will be less intense on the weekend dates, but the true lower crowds are at at DL. I would probably choose Saturday DCA and Sunday at DL because one extra key is blocked Saturday (also opposite EE). The one extra key unblocked Sunday won't impact you much at DL but could make DCA crowds heavier.
