I've decided to put together a "scrapbook" for my brother of him through the years. I have a bunch of photos and was wondering if there was a way to make a "digital" bound book like the ones offered at CVS. The ones at CVS require your photos to be on a cd or card. However since these photos are all over 15 years old they are not on a cd. Also, some are school photos, which are probably considered copyright protected.

I am not crafty at all and could not do a conventional scrapbook. My friends will agree with me there! So, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking of scanning all the photos myself onto my computer-then what? I'm also computer illiterate:guilty:

Thanks!

i'm a scrapbooker, but a slow one. ;)

i've created a few photobooks at the local camera store using digital photos, and the software allows you flexibility in the number of photos on each page, the layout of the photos, background and text colors, font choices, and you can also zoom/edit the photos. it still takes me awhile, about 2 or 3 hours total, but not nearly as long as it would take me to scrapbook them all. :rotfl:

if you're willing to scan the older photos, i'd burn them all to a CD and use that to make a book. i'm really not sure how to handle the professional (licensed) photos in that regard, however. :confused3

Hi. Put this one in the scrapbook section on the dis board and you will more replies. I am not into scanning and the whole computer thing with scrapbooking. I would take the photos to a scrapbooking store and they would love to help you pick out matching paper/stickers embelishments ect. There is alot of dollar stores now that carry scrapbooking supplies also.
WARNING- YOU WILL GET HOOKED INTO SCRAPBOOKING.

If you can scan the pictures into your computer, there are many sites where you can upload them and make bound, printed scrapbooks. Snapfish is one. Someone else is having a nice special on them...twocows or something like that?

PS: I'm not super computer savvy myself, but uploading pics on these sites is usually very user friendly. Best wishes! I'd be glad to help if you need it.

Shutterfly!

Scan the pics and upload them to their web site. I make all my books there.

Good luck! :)
