Help with Room requests, AKL & Yacht Club Concierge!

We are leaving one month from tomorrow and have resservations at SOG/Contemporary, then five nights at AKL Concierge and 5 nights at Yacht Club Concierge.

We have three children,ages 3, 9 & 11. Would someone please help me with room requests. I want to give the concierge all the info this week and then follow up with a phone call three or four days before we leave.

One question: Do the bunk bed rooms at AKL also have a day bed?

I can't help with the bunk bed/day bed question. However, I posted a similar thread to this a month or so ago because we are going to be at the AKL concierge in August. I was asking for room advice so we would have the best chance of a good view. Everyone that replied to me said to request 5th floor Arusha Rock Savannah on the Zebra Trail. Hope this helps.

I just called about an hour ago and was told the regular Savannah rooms have either two queens or one queen and a bunk, but that the deluxe rooms have the added daybed. Those rooms are aobut $ 100.00 more per night. The only difference is the daybed and a little more space.

the AKL concierge rooms all have either pool or savannah view, so I'd definately make sure to request a savannah view!
and make sure they know you are 5 people, you're going to need the daybed!!!

at the YC, are you booked in garden or lake view concierge? if you are booked in garden, then request a room on the "lake side" of the resort! this way you'll get a really nice view! the lake views all have direct view of the lake, you can be over the courtyard, with the lighthouse directly in front of you (these rooms are very close to the lounge & elevators, incredibly convenient!) or you can be over SAB, a liitle more dramatic view, but both are very very nice. I stayed in both clusters of rooms on the concierge level, you cant go wrong either way!

princess angel-we are in a water view concierge room. Do you know if the AKL concierge rooms with bunks also have a daybed? Or is it just the two queen bed rooms that have the daybed? Thanks!

I can help with AKL COnceirge. The concierge rooms are delux & have a queen, bunk & daybed. Now a pool view is on the 6th floor with the lounge. The Savanagh views are pretty far away on the 5th floor...I think Zebra trail near the watering hole. Thats the only bummer about the AKL concierge its so far from the lounge if you have Savangh view.
