We are staying at the POFQ for the first time in two weeks for my DD 6th Birthday. Would like to put in for a room request ahead of time, but I am not familar with the layout of the buildings. Can anyone suggest a good location to request a room?
We will be there in 15 days and have been told by most people to ask for Building 2 or 5. They seem to be the most popular because of their location to the pool area.
PS our DD just turned 6 on the 25th. We are going down to celebrate too.....
Thank you!
Although I am not too sure this body will be hitting the pool water.
But my DD doesn't seem to mind the temp. when she gets out of the pool.
Really any building at the POFQ is a good spot. The resort is small & the lay out is lovely. I dont think you will be dissappointed with any of their buildings.
We were in building 5 this past December and loved the location.
One thing, no matter where you stay, ask for a room away from the stairs. Our room was on the second floor right next to the stairs. Every day in the early am and sometimes in the late evening we could hear people taking their luggage down the steps, klunk, klunk, klunk. The steps were closer than the elevators so people would just let their luggage hit each of the steps on the way down. It could be annoying.
we were there april of 04 and were in bldg #2 had a courtyard view and were right beside the pool. Couldn't have been in a better spot. But I do agree everything @ FQ is amazing
We just returned from a trip and we were in building 4. I thought it was perfect. Right next to the main building, a VERY short walk to the bus stop, and about 2-3 minutes to the pool.
Just make sure you do put in a request with CRO and if you don't like the room location ask if there is anything else available.
We went in Dec and stayed in Bld 7 - it is a long way from everything. It was quite a hike even to the elevator so we ended up using the stairs.
I had heard before our trip that POFQ was so small that everything was close. Well it sure isn't from that building anyway. Though I have to admit we stayed at WL the previous time with a perfect room location and everything was so much more convenient so we were spoiled.
The one thing good about the location was that we did see MVMCP fireworks from the railing outside our room! The resort is very lovely and my DS loved the pool slide.
I requested Building 5 for our upcoming May trip because it is close to the pool/resort center, on the side closest to the bus stop, and because that a standard view room if we get building 5 would not have a view of the parking lot but would instead have a view of the courtyard. We have stayed at Building 2 nad 7, which were okay, but I would think 4 or 5 would be great.
