Hi, my family's considering a trip to Disneyland and would like to stay at the Grand Californian. We are DVC members but do not own points there so we'd have to book 7 months out. Has it been possible to book a studio there 7 months out? The few times I've played around online looking 7 months out I haven't had much luck finding a studio available. I've had some luck with 1 bedrooms.

What are the most popular times of year there and when wold be our best chance of getting a studio? We'll probably stay for 4-5 nights.

I booked 5 nights in a studio 7/7-7/11 at my 7 month window. I got online a few minutes before 8 and waited for the booking window to open and booked right away. When I checked later (8:50am) there were no studios available for my 1st night.

It is the smallest DVC resort of all. So it can be difficult to get something at seven months out. And studios usually go first. Good luck.

It can happen! I got a studio for 3 nights, including Saturday and Sunday in late June. I did exactly what someone else already said... Book online right at 8 am EST as soon as you can.

Good luck!!

Yes. I got a weekend in July at the 7 month mark.

What I'd like to know if weekends in December are possible at 7 months. Anyone know?

I've been able to get a studio twice at 7 months. First week of May 2011 and last week of September 2012.

I booked 7 nights in a studio starting July 6th at the 7 month mark. I could have booked a studio, 1br or 2br. I booked online a couple of hours after online booking opened for my dates.

Good Luck.

We were able to get a studio for two nights following the West Bound Panama Canal cruise in May of 2013. We went online at exactly 8:00 AM 7 months out and I was surprised at the availability of different sized units. Your experience may vary depending on season, but you definitely need to be online at 8:00 AM 7 months out, and you may be successful. You also might find that the extra points for a one bedroom (if a studio is not available) might be worth it. We were prepared to go up to a one bedroom if necessary as it still would have been cheaper, points wise, than using points to stay at the Disneyland Hotel.

I just booked a studio for next August online this morning!! Now if I can get Aulani in a few days to add to the trip 2013 is lookin' goooood!! :cool1: I would book it promptly ON your 7 month window for your best shot. I was watching the availability leading up to our trip and within days of our dates it was booking up with spotty availability.
