Help with reservation package w special offer

I’m sorry if I’m posting in the wrong place - please point me to the right place if I am!

I am just looking for help/thoughts..

I recently reserved a package at the contemporary using the special offer of free dining in September. I’m finding out it may be unbearably hot and would like to move the trip to December. I haven’t found anything open in December for Contemporary. This is a special trip for us, so that is the only place we would like to stay. It was also a really good deal with the FD. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if any rooms may possibly open up for the offer if I keep waiting it out? Is this a common thing or do they typically stay booked up. Is it likely they will offer any other FD dates for November or another cooler month this year?
Any other help or tips? It seems like we visited Disney several times around Sept. 2010 and the heat wasn’t that bad but I’m hearing it will be miserable.

A room at the contemporary is likely to become available between now and December (especially 30-60 days prior) but not with the free dining promo.

Was that the Disney Visa Free Dining offer? I don't see a public one but maybe there was. The Disney Visa offer is valid for arrivals in July (7/1 - 7/31), the first week of September (9/1 - 9/7), and the middle two weeks of Dec. (12/9 - 12/21). It's a very popular offer and only available for arrivals on the specified dates. It's unlikely to have other dates open up.

Availability becomes the 2nd factor. Just because the offer is valid for certain dates, only a percentage of rooms are allowed to be booked under the special offer.

Assuming your dates fall within those listed, you can keep checking for availability. It may pop up. But there is no guarantee. I suggest 1) keeping your September dates as booked, or 2) consider a different resort or 3) if able try adjusting your dates to arrive earlier/later.
