Help with rental car!

We are driving from the Chicago area in November. It never occurred to me to rent a car to drive down until my hubby had to get one here after an accident. It was a lot cheaper than I thought, so now the seed has been planted!

Obviously I need unlimited miles, prob ten days, good mileage...where is the best place to start my search?

Oh, there are five of us...one car seat, one booster, so we'd need space.

In the fall, all the car rental companies will have deals for one-way rentals TO Florida. (Right now they are doing one way rental deals OUT of Florida). It's all about moving cars around to where demand is.
You may want to keep an eye on the one way car rental deal page on rentalcodes.com for when those deals are released.
I think though that your travel dates are probably too late, most of those offers end in October.
For now, I would search the rental car coupon codes for the best offer you can find and book the best one you see, keep checking at least once a week to see if rates go any lower. Often you will find that rates get lower as your travel date approaches and as new coupon codes are released, but that is not always the case. That's why it's important to lock down the best deal now, just in case rates increase.

Also, yes, as the previous poster mentioned, call whatever rental agency you rent from at their local office and make sure it's ok to take the car out of state and ask if there are any geographic restrictions. Each local agency sets their own policies on this, that is why it's necessary to call the local office.
