Help with rate

I need some help in navigating on the Disney site. I have a rate in my saved quotes that is pretty good for POR. However, when I click Book It, a higher rate shows up. Has this happened to anyone else? Am I guaranteed that rate if I call? Thanks and I'm sure I will be back with more questions. Any other tips on finding a good rate to stay on the grounds over spring break would be appreciated. We are a family of 5. (Decided to do this with very quick decision - otherwise would have planned better!)

How long have you had the saved quotes for. You probably need to call though POR books fast especially with special rates.

Thanks for reply - just saved quote yesterday, went to book it today and rate was over $1,000 over what the quote was. Will I have luck if I call directly? Also, (I warned you I would have a lot of questions as I muddle thru) some of the resorts I am trying to get price quotes for on the disney site come back as no availability. But they come up on Expedia.com with a price quote and availability. What gives???

Wholesalers like Expedia get blocks of rooms assigned to them, and those rooms are not available in the Disney reservation system until they are released back closer to the date (for example, some wholesalers release unbooked rooms 30 days prior to check in, some 60, some 90, etc.). So sometimes, between the package cancellation date at 45 days out, and the wholesalers releasing rooms back, you can find availablility closer in on Disney's site, when it wasn't available before.

So, does it make sense for me to book something now and then just keep checking back? Is there a fee to change my reservation if I book thru Disney? Thanks.

We booked in Dec and kept checking to see if we could move from CBR to POR there would be no cost to change same value if for some reason you have to change dates there may be a fee I don't completely know b/c we had to change dates and this was an MIL treat so she handled that part. I do believe we paid a little more b/c the package we had was not available but we were able to get POR. We called every other day before we had to change ressies you never know when someone has to cancel. We let got of two discount packages an 11night at CBR and a 5night at POR so somebody hit the jackpot if they were looking during that time.
