Hi guys, I'm new to this part of the forum :)

I'm plannin gon proposing to my DGF in September in the California Grill.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make it as amazing as possible?

Has anyone else proposed/been proposed to/seen a proposal in CG?

MAKE SURE that she is not afraid of heights!

My Honey wanted to propose on the Observation Deck (outside) during the fireworks and I refused to go out there, because I am TERRIFIED of heights.

We got engaged later in the trip in AK. It was the start of a perfect day.

Good Luck!

You might want to call the CG ahead of time and ask them for ideas. WDW CM's are infamous for helping make things like this very special.:goodvibes

Does anyone know where I can get a contact telephone number or better yet, an email address?

thanks!

As a former CM I have seen my share of proposals. Call the line that you used to make the reservation and explain your situation. See if they will forward you to the CG or put something in the ressie to alert them. As a CM, helping out with proposals was one of my favorite things, and we always did what we could.

Proposals I have seen/arranged/been a part of:
-A man wanted to propse on the Castle stage right after the parade when it is normally closed off. As this is not part of the fall out zone, we got him in. (We couldln't let him on the actualy stage, but the part where the two ramps meet before going in the hallway).
-A man at Liberty Tree Tavern on Valentine's Day had a videographer, flowers, the works. He even had a special menu made and printed. It was very romantic, I know I would have loved it. Unfortunately it seemed like the woman was very embarassed and little off put by the spectacle of it. The characters came around later to congratulate her. (Characters are not allowed to be a part of any proposal or wedding in case the person says no)

I know there was at least one more but I am blanking. Hopefully the LTT one gave you some ideas.

What about order a cake or having them write will you marry me on the dessert plate? I think just going on the balcony would be romantic enough

Hi

My husband and I had a romantic meal here the day after our disney wedding and i have to say if you can get a table next to the window to watch wishes this would be amazing. You could aske her to make a wish at the beginning of the firework and at the end have the ring out and get down on 1 knee. When we were there they turned the lights down and had the music play into the restaurant. you could then say my wish came true a found you can i make your wishes come true will you marry me? Or get a waiter to fetch a plate that says, when you wish upon a star.......... with the ring in its box on the plate next to it

If you call 1-407-WDW-DINE (407 939-3463) you can make a reservation with them and they will also help you out.

HTH if you want any help at all pm me and i will help as best i can.
