Hi. The longer I've been away from Disney, the more confused I get with how things work! We have an upcoming trip with the grand kiddies in Feb. I want to use some sort of photography for ease of use, as opposed to selfies/setting up the camera on the phone and jumping into the picture, or asking a random person to take shots of us together. However, I cannot seem to figure out what is what. We do not have AP'S, we are not purchasing them. Can we just use Photopass photographers in the parks? If so, do we have to buy memory maker to get the pictures? Like Genie, Genie+ and ILL, it's a bit confusing to know what can be purchased separately or what has to go together.

Any help is much appreciated!

TIA
Dee

If you have an AP. photo[pass can be added for the duraction of the pass, and then you just tap a magic dand for the inpark photogtrapher. I think ohotopass and memory makeer are two names for the same thing.

If you don;t have an AP, photopass/memory maker can be added on a per reservation basis, so it may cost you more if you travel more than onve per year..

With photo pass, the photos will be available for you to download through the MyDisney Experiance app. MemoryMakes, if I recall, it the added PhotoCD, or order t=stuff like photo mugsm mousepads, etc.

As Chuck says, yes, you can just use the PhotoPass photographers in the parks. They can tap your MB or give you a PhotoPass card (the first time, then subsequent photographers tap that same card) that you use to link the photos to your MDE account.

You can view your photos (with watermarks) in your MDE account and can choose to buy individual ones, which you can then view without a watermark and download as many times as you want. I’m not sure what the cost is, possibly $10 or $20 each.

If you want all or many of your photos, Memory Maker is the way to go. Each photo will be available in your account for 30 days after it’s taken, and with MM you’ll have 45 days from the day you download your first photo (doesn’t have to be the day it’s taken) to download all the photos you want.

The first post in the PhotoPass & Memory Maker thread has a good overview of all this, and then you can ask questions and review the last few pages as well.

You can also hand your camera/phone to the photographers, and they’ll be happy to take your photo with it at no charge.

Enjoy your trip!
