HELP! with personalized touring plans

So I've created two now, no problem. I'm working on one for Animal Kingdom - and it keeps making these funky errors. I have been adjusting the optimized results, and it goes fine. And then all of a sudden it just goes weird. It won't show times for half the things, or it will list them for 4:00 am etc (and no, it's not because we don't have enough time). Anyone else experience this? How do I fix it? It happened once before (same plan/park) and I had to go through and hit optimize again. It fixed everything, but then it happened all over again after I started rearranging some things. I'm using touringplans.com

Yes. I also use touring plans and have had similar issues. Other common problems have been disappearing/wrong times with fastpasses and entering dining reservations and then it will change the time when you optimize. I don't really have a good solution other than to keep trying. It may take multiple tries, but I usually get it to a workable plan. In my opinion, it's ok, but for the value, I love the app while we are in the parks. I thinks the lines wait times are more accurate than disney. And yes, I do start my timer most of the time!

I only ever have issues with AK, and I think I have isolated the problem. If you have Conservation Station in your plan (or Affection Section), it will add the train ride before and after automatically when you first put it in. When you optimize, it will keep the three together. If you accidentally separate them while dragging things around -- wonky. In addition, even if you keep the three together before Evaluating, if you have dropped something else in the middle while dragging it up or down -- wonky. I suspect, but am less confident that dragging things from below the trinity to above the trinity is less successful than the other way around.

It is entirely possible that there are other things that can cause an AK plan to be wonky, but the issues with these items getting separated are reproducible pretty much 100% of the time.

Interesting. Yes, I do have Conservation Station in there (the trinity). Not sure if I accidentally separated them, but I pulled them up one at a time so I'm sure it's possible. Do I need to add the train ride into our plan then, if they automatically allow for it?

I think that pulling them up one at a time would be similar to adding accidentally dragging something through them and then continuing to drag it past.

What I have done successfully is to add Conservation Station only, then optimize. It will automatically add in the train rides when you optimize. After that, you can reorder things and evaluate, and as long as you are careful to never drop anything in the middle by accident or to separate them or get them out of order, even if you fix it all before you click evaluate, then everything will be fine.

I think you'd probably get a lot more help over on the Touring Plans forums. Lot of folks over there that have a lot of experience with the touring plans, and they're really friendly.
