help with paypal / ebay please

I paid a seller for an item on eBay with my debit card through paypal. He emailed me back and said he'd changed his paypal account around and was using a different email address. He emailed me a request for payment with his new address. So, I cancelled the original payment and re-paid with the new address. But, my bank account was never credited This was on 11/16. How long should the credit take to hit?

I would get ahold of paypal and see where it is in the process. I think it takes five days or so. Maybe it has been longer because of Thanksgiving.

The seller may have to deny your payment on the first account. What does your PayPal history say? Does the amount show up as a PayPal balance? I think you need to contact PayPal. They are the ones with the answers . Good luck!

I would check your paypal account, maybe they credit the amount to your paypal account NOT the checking account.

Paypal customer service is too busy to take my call and when I tried to email c/s the website told me there had been an error. They did not credit my Paypal account at least not yet. Maybe it is too early and I am just being impatient. But, I'd like my $55 back....I will try calling again....thanks for letting me vent!

I don't know what is going on with paypal. I am ready to give up on them. I have been trying for two days to void a label and am getting an error. I tried to use netscape, thinking it was IE, but Paypal crashed my netscape. I emailed them a few days ago and haven't heard a word. They are either understaffed or just don't care. Is there another pay service we can use? Anything would be better than paypal.

I'm all for that, Donna! I've seen a few people accept Bidpay but I don't know anything about it. I will take a look and see if the fees are the same and if I can print postage from it.

With Bidpay the BUYER pays a fee. Bidpay then send you a money order. The fees are really high (compared to paypal).
