Need some opinions on what to do...we are going on a 5-night on the Magic this coming October and Pirate Night is Day 2 (on a Sea Day) according to the website. We are not the biggest fans of the Pirate Night menu and were originally going to do Palo that night (around 6pm) but we also want to make sure our kids (2 & 7) don't miss Pirate Night.

Now here is the dilemma...according to the website Pirate Party is at 9:45 so theoretically that is plenty of time to feed the kids, drop them off at Nursery/Oceaneers, do Palo 6-8, change and go pick them up with time to spare...but when I call Disney they can't confirm for me that Pirate night is at 9:45. If I look at previous Navigators, the Magic ALMOST always has pirate night at 9:45ish, but the Wonder is almost always at 7:30-8:00ish and the closest I can find to our itinerary is one from the Wonder...if it's at 7:30 then we will miss it and that isn't an option for us.

What should I do? Has anyone ever been on the MAGIC and had Pirate Night earlier that 9ish?

Confusion you have is there are two pirate events a little show at 7.30 pm between the two dinner sittings, then the proper show and fireworks at 9.45 pm.

To be honest the 7.30 is not worth it and your plans are sound.

I don't know the exact schedule, But I can tell you that when we sailed The Wonder in Feb. of this year, they did the show and fireworks before the 8:15 (late dinner). I was told that they were experimenting with an earlier time because families have complained that the later show was not good for younger children. This was a sailing from Miami as I think The Magic is this fall/winter. So it can be that they will be doing the fireworks earlier in winter months when it gets darker earlier.

We are not fans of the pirate night menu either so we usually book Palo on pirate night, but we were traveling with our grandkids, so we skipped Palo that night for the kids sake and went another night to Palo.

Lorimay, did the website tell you that Pirate Night was at the early time or was that a surprise once you got onboard?

We found out onboard, I don't know how it was listed on the reservation page I never looked, I just assumed it was late as always.

Has anyone ever been on the Magic when they have tested this earlier Pirate Night?

On the Wonder in Feb 2015, Pirate fireworks where in between first and second seating.

I hate to keep asking but has anyone seem them do this on the Magic? Seems the Wonder has started doing fireworks between 1st and 2nd seating but I cant find anything about this on the Magic (yet)
